Hexagon delight!

Happy Monday Friends!
Oh, Trendy Hexagon delights!

Today I am sharing a card, Crafty Milka is hosting such a fun challenge inspired with geometric shapes and this time the theme is Hexagon(s)!
I was immediately drawn to the beautiful masking and inking idea. I pulled out the gorgeous Hexagon stamp set, such a fun mix of solid, outlined, patterned, sentiment hexagons!
To start my card, I die cut the biggest Hexagon shape and created a mask as shown in the pic.

I inked my stamp with various rainbow pattern colors. I have to say I love how this turned out:) Then die cut a stitched hexagon shape to create the outline. Added a sentiment celebrate out of a die and heat embossed it 5 times with clear embossing powder for more texture.

And finished it off with cute wooden hexagon embellishments which I heat embossed in various embossing glitter powders to match my pattern!

Altered glass!

Hello friends!
Happy Tuesday!

I am back after one month break. There is a reason behind it!

While working on some project last month Firstly my Bigshot machine handle got free, so sent it for the repairing and after few days when I got it back, my laptop hard disc was damaged with the blank 😟screen , so was not able to post anything. And Yesterday I got a great and happy relief when I got my baby back!!! 😊😊

I created two mixed media projects. And this is very long post with steps so I made an another post for the other project.
In this project, I altered a glass container which has a lid and converted them into this beautiful home decor piece!!!

Now let me show the steps how I created this MM altered art!

Step 1.
Take any plastic container, clean it properly from any stains or dust particles and dry it. Now apply spray paint on it. But for precaution keep the container in any box/carton and cover the glass with the spray paint. You can wear gloves too. Now let it dry for half an hour or little more.

Step 2:
I used different types of embellishments in this creation. In a picture frame, silicon mold using clear glue sticks and heat glue gun filled this mold.
Let it dry, hardly took 15 minutes. If you don't have glue gun and sticks you can also use dry clay which can be easily molded into any shape you wanted. Here I used it for a 3D baby mold, cover the space tightly as shown in the picture. Let it dry in the air, took one hour to dry properly.

Step3:
Now take out these embellishments from the mold carefully. Time to color them I used some alcohol inks, Fevicryl Pearl colors, some Inka gold from Viva in different colors.

Step 4.
The Inka Gold colors are so versatile you can apply them on any embellishment, it can even be diluted in water too. Here as shown in the pic, I first applied Gesso on all these embellishments using sponge, then the impact of color will be more bright and if you use black Gesso, it will create different textures. On the metal embellishments, I used a spray, Inka Gold, alcohol inks and burnished them with gold color for detailing work after drying. Even I applied Gesso to my trims to make them little thicker and applied different inks.
I applied Gesso on bamboo sticks and one of the pencil too.

Step 5:
On the glass container to create textures, I give it a coat of gesso and using a comb created a wood panel look. Now burnished the different mediums to highlight the details as shown in the pic.

Step 6:
Now start embellishing it. Using my glue gun I attached all the embellishments easily.

I added lots of different paper flowers, blings, jewel stones, fillers and added a sentiment too which I covered it with Inka Gold mediums. Now using tacky glue gel I spread crystal clear sparkle too.

This is the top, I covered it with a lace, pearl string, a beautiful trim butterfly and other embellishments.

Altered frame

Hello everyone!

I am delighted to be back with my new GDT post for Rainbowcraftykari!
This time, I altered a photo frame, giving it a uniqueness and make great gifts!

I love Mixed Media art....Throwing on the layers, textures and just having fun! Blue is my favorite color and I added some gold with lots of blue hues! You will see some of the metal embellishments, chippies, handmade flowers, doilies and stencilling peeking through!

The first thing I covered the chipboard frame with a coat of white gesso. After drying, I applied cheese cloth all over using Mod Podge.

Here what it looks like before adding gesso and sprays. I roughly set up all the things on this frame and took a photo. Now added texture paste using some stencils for textures, Arranged all the embellishments, charms, different flowers, MDF flourishes and many more things according to my need and again applied a layer of gesso.

Now applied lots of layer of different inks, spray, Viva gold, glitters etc. At the bottom layer, I pasted a sequins lace too. For more textures and interest, I added microbeads in two varieties randomly, added a cute tiny heart, jewelled stone at the lamp post. Added a string of pearls inside the edges of photo panel.

Now Added this frame to another covered frame with black CS with an acetate sheet.

3 different style cards using one stamp only

Hello, everyone!
A quick post today!

I made 3 different cards using one stamp only.

First one is the classic combo of black, white and gold and I love the result, so beautiful!

I have used white CS for my card base and die cut one more layer with stitched rectangular. Then I stamped some different sizes Doodly circles to create my blooms along with leaves at the top edge, overlapping them using clear embossing ink. And then heat embossed them. Some of the circles I heat embossed twice for more shine and classy look. Now I started to watercolored the BG at the top, kept it darker first and then faded wash look near the edges of the blooms and added some splatters too before placing the sentiment!

Then I mounted it onto my card base along with zig-zag striped and gold glitter washi tape at the bottom. The sentiment is a die cut out of a golden sheet. And placed some sequins for more interest and textures!

The second project

It's fun to Caseing someone! Love the inspiration by very talented Designer Joy Taylor, so gorgeous and very much impressed by the colours, design, toned BG, dazzling sequins! Here is my take on the challenge!

First of all, I created my own striped cover panel. I stretched my spellbinder die to create this panel😉
Then on a watercolored sheet, I stamp some solid circles and leaves using the ink smooshing technique in different Altenew dye inks and stamped some Doodly circles and leaves on them. Fussy cut them. Now I masked my card panel from all 4 edges and using the same Red Sunset ink set I applied the inks using a blender tool and added some water splatters.

I mounted my striped panel on my card base using pop dots. And adhered my blooms on this panel. For the sentiment, I used leftover scrap (which I used as a masked strip), I cut it and stamp the sentiment using clear embossing ink and heat embossed it. Now adhered it to my striped panel. To dazzle my card I embellished it with my clear sequins.

The third project

For the last one, I die cut a stitched panel out of Bielo white CS. Using ink smooshing technique I pressed my panel from the bottom side and lift it carefully. Then I stamped the Doodly circles in clear embossing ink using my MISTI, heat embossed the images using opaque bright white powder. Now I wet my images with water and using distress inks I coloured them. Added some splatters too.
Then I die cut a black panel to create my design. Stamp the sentiment using my Misti and I tied this black panel with a twine and a cute button. Adhered this bottom panel on my card base which is already dry embossed using double stitched rectangle die! Now adhered the main panel at the focal point and added one more strip out of black CS and embellished it with few sequins.

She is Beautiful!

Hello, friends!
Hope all of you are enjoying your weekend!

Today, I am representing a very delicate card in the shades of grey, hope you all like this creation! I title this creation-"She is Beautiful".
Mother's Day should be every day - we should never stop cherishing and thanking these wonderful women for giving us life and for taking care of us forever. She is loving, beautiful, special, unique in every way. A MOTHER is she who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one else can take!!!

Firstly, I made my own embellishments, from handmade flowers to mold ornaments, the small flowers with a pearl from Prima. I applied on all MDF cutouts gesso, then grey Moda color and burnish them using Haematite Inka Gold. You can see them clearly in close-up pics!

Totally fell in love with this color combo, so unique, Added lots of layers of paper, borders and little script stamping. The sentiment is Tim Holtz Chitchat stickers!

Then I garnish the whole creation with loads of tiny granules, very tiny white thermocol balls, white beads, rhinestones, flourishes and some splatters too.
