Oriental Beauty

Hello Crafters!
                       Today I want to show you my card on the theme " The Silk Road " which means all things oriental at http://quirkycrafts.blogspot.in/. For this theme I chose one of my favorite image "Smelling the cherry blossoms" from Fred She Said. She was such a joy to colour.

 I coloured the image with my promarkers. She's been paired up with this gorgeous JAGS beautiful Flowers PP that has lots of blossoms on it. Here is the close up look:

 I created a Fence Gate panel at the bottom of the card to give the special dimension. I added a beautiful butterfly, some rose flowers, pink blossoms ,pollens, a crochet flower, some gems and some double coloured sparkling flowers.

To give it a more oriental look I added a Japanese fan and a soft pink coloured silk ribbon to it.

Look at the inside view:

 The sentiment is from Stampin'up -You're lovely set( which I won from crafting with Dragonflies). I heat embossed the sentiment using WOW sparkling snow glitter powder.

 I think the fence is a beautiful treat to my card to make it elegant.

X-mas Caroling Kids

Hi everyone!

It's very humid in India and I love to spend my time  watching new techniques and projects and enjoyed them:). Most of the challenges are on Christmas in July theme, so I decided to make a card on this theme.
Here is my card..........
The gorgeous image is from Digi Darla called caroling Kids and I coloured my image using distress markers first time .

I chose a red CS and the PP is from DCWV in big polka dots.

A tag is attached with a beautiful Christmas message.

I embellished my card with some pretty jute flowers and added a red coloured mesh sheet , some rhinestones and red coloured ribbon. The string is from Tim Holtz jute string sets.

The sentiments are free, I do not remember from where. I used new Fuji Transparent water colour folios first time which is very popular now a days. I added some music notes and stamped them on a red coloured mirror CS and embossed the music note stamps.

Wh-eally great card

Hello everyone!
Good morning!
Hope you all are having a great weekend.
 After a short break I am back................(lol)!!! I went for a trip to Pondicherry and Chennai! My daughter has completed her B.A. Economics and applied for M.A. Economics at Madras school of economics. She got an admission there, so we celebrated this occasion at Pondicherry!!! It's a beautiful place with lush greenery and Beaches. Here are some pics to share with you, Hope you enjoyed them!!!

Now back to my craft place..... This time I followed a sketch at Viva La Verve blog and photo inspiration.

And also followed Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge 1st Anniversary!

 

I purchased some new stamps, dies, ribbons, papers etc. and thought I would put them to some good use and play along with some new challenges. So here is the take on the sketch.....

The papers are from DCWV and the turquoise blue sheet is from Mariposa and I embossed it. I used a new sparkling sheet from a local store and made a border.

The cute whale image is from a new stamp set called " Sweet Baby " from Itsy Bitsy and I heat embossed it using Wow embossing powders and for a real look , I added  googly eye on it. I die cut an octagon shape from a pearlescent lime green CS and adhered it on sky blue CS. The sentiment stamp is from Sizzix Framelits with lovely 20 stamps. I have also added  new transparent coloured beads at the transparent textured banner sheet with a baker twine. I added some false stitch all around the blue sheet using Potentate black pen.

 

I am really happy after finishing this card with my favorite shades of blue:) and  reminding me of the blue sea on our most enjoyable trip!!!

Precious Baby

Hello everyone!
                         First I would like to welcome my new followers and visitors!!! I appreciate all your lovely comments!!!
                         Half of the year has gone away! I am happy to be sharing my new creation... Precious Baby card. I followed  Hilde's sketch at The Sketchy Challenges and very much inspired by Karina's card!!!

  I made this adorable card using freebie image found on http://janny-mundoencantadodoartesanato.blogspot.com. and this adorable image is coloured using distress inks-tattered rose, pink raspberry, tumbled glass, scattered straw. I framed it using oval die from Itsy Bitsy and added a cute lace around the oval frame. My card base is a white ivory CS. The PP are from Bo bunny Double Dots stack pad, Summer blossom from DCWV. I distressed the edges of PP using distress tool.

 

I added glossy accents to the umbrella for a real look and added stickles too. "Oh Baby" is a Sticker sentiment from Porta Craft Baby set.  I made a tag which shows extra love for a baby and the PP is a digital paper. The sentiment is from Inspired By Stamping - Big Wishes II. I heat embossed the sentiment in two tones using WOW glitter Embossing powders-Magenta Twinkle and Silver Bells.

These two gorgeous big rose flowers are handmade using Jef  6 petal punches. I distressed them and highlighted with diamond glitter dust. I think these look beautiful:)

 

Now look at this charming butterfly, isn't it amazing! I used a silicon butterfly mold and white clay to make it. Let it dry for a whole day and then distressed it using Pink Raspberry . After that I added diamond dust and Wow magenta glitter powder and heat embossed it. Then embellished it with silver swirls and rhinestones.

 

Look at the inside view: This sweet sentiment is free at apieceofheart.blogspot.in. I distressed the edges and highlighted the sentiment using Sakura pink glitter pen.

I finished off my card using a Pink Polka Dot ribbon, a wooden flower shaped button, some small roses and pollens, Tiny rhinestones, a teddy charm, a silver textured paper butterfly using Jef punch, a shiny pink flower at the tag and the last one is a corner using Spellbinder Shapeabilities Lace Hearts Die cut.
