Mermaid Magic!!!

Hello, friends!
      Today, I am so excited to share my new Mixed Media creation, my favourite now and this is based on the Mini Challenge at More Than words with an amazing theme- "FUN"!!!
       I have always loved the beauty and mystery surrounding the mermaids. I imagined having glamorous chests full of sunken jewellery, swimming all day, bathing in the sun on rocks, fun in the open sea. Journey under the Sea is always magical and fun!!!

And I am very much inspired by a very talented Indian crafter Rajni Ji's Mixed Media creation which is always mind blowing!

   
I started with my gorgeous mermaid stamp which I recently won from The Greeting Farm stamps. And when I saw Merisa I know how to represent this beauty in my MM creation! I inked my image with Danube blue, then I made a big dough of Modeling clay and pressed my stamp into the clay with little pressure. It was just amazing to see the results on clay first time, really fun :)       

Then I cut the extra clay with my clay tools- knives and shaped it. Then coloured it with different acrylic colours, paint. While painting her eyes, lips and eyebrows I used a toothpick to colour properly. 

     
After that, I decided to choose some  beautiful PP for backing layers. I toned down the scalloped PP using Gesso.  Then played with London blue acrylic paint, misted with water. Using Bubble stencil I applied embossing paste and randomly stencilled using gesso with Mini specimens. Then distressed the edges. 
 Next, I randomly tore a corrugated sheet and applied acrylic paint on them and covered them with my golden net. Now I assembled my layers on white card base using Pop dots. 
       I gave all my chipboard cut outs a coat of gesso.  Die cut some bamboo sticks as sea weeds and Coloured my big circle, flourishes using MM elements. Now embossed my flourishes and Bamboo sticks using seafoam powder from Wow. 

    
The next step was to make a shaker for which I embellished with some bamboo sticks, sea shells, cute fish, sparkling dots, transparent beads as shaker elements on a Textured white backing circle which is lightly coloured and perfect to create the sea scene!

   
Now die cut a double scalloped border to create the waves out of a textured felt sheet.  Fussy hand cut a golden net. And arranged all these layers on my panel.  I embellished my mermaid with some coloured beads and a gorgeous flower. I coloured my anchor, sea shells, dolphin and arranged a cute Sea- scene! Now tied the anchor charm with a golden- white thread to a Believe metal tag and placed my puffy FUN embellishment which has glittered!

Black &white card with a splash of color!

Hello everyone!
Happy Monday!

Hope all of you enjoyed your weekend! It's very hot and humid in Delhi.

Today I have to show a card with a classic combo of Black and white with a splash of blue color!

Firstly I have embossed a white sheet using dot frame. Die cuts some Ovals and floral ovals in Black & white CS. Adhered them on my frame panel. Cut out a Polka dot PP for the matting.

Created lots of handmade flowers using a punch, lots of different flowers dies out of white Iris paper, black & white CS. Watercolored them in the centre part of all white flowers, shaped them using my embossing pad, applied silver glitter on both of big flowers. Die cut a Chole flourish in black.

 Stamped the sentiment on a black oval and heat embossed it.
Die cut a Butterfly out of Denim blue Printed PP and one from black paper and applied glitter on the black one. I placed a black and silver coloured polka dots on the flower printed on Denim paper and adhered the black one on it, shaped it. Now for the embellishments, I added a half pearls on my small flowers. Now adhered all the white layers on Black ones. Now arranged all the flowers with a flourish die, Added a gorgeous ribbon and adhered my gorgeous butterfly. I added a transparent flower stone too while arranging my flowers!

So this is the finish look of my card, and I really enjoyed while created it. And I am very much inspired by Mrs. A Butterfly challenge where the theme is using D for Denim with Dimension & of course a butterfly and Pretty paper Studio challenge theme!

Happy Friday!
Today, I have a card with mixed media technique using Lulupu Sketch and Paperlicious mood board.
  
Here is my take on this beautiful sketch! And I got inspired from glitter, tiny molecules, washi tape, wooden PP, thread.

     I started with a light blue CS and on the top, I glued a wooden PP with washi tape.
Embossed a white scrap paper. Stamped the flower jar in salty ocean, and hand cut it from inside. Now on another watercolored CS I stamped the jar again with the masking technique. Stamped some rose flowers and leaves, watercolored and fussy cut them all. Now I spread some glitter, blue molecules in my embossing paste,  mixed it well and applied through my stencil on an embossed paper. I wanted some rough look. Now arranged all the flowers to look like a bunch on a circle and applied on a flower jar with glue. Now popped up my main panel using pop dots. Tied a jute twine and embellished it with flowers. Now I created a hand cut speech bubble and stamped the sentiment from the same set and heat embossed it. Popped it up with a cute little bird!

Fun in the sun!

Hello everyone!

I love building up scenes! And to beat the heat, I created a summer-cool 'fun in the sun' creation! I had a very cute beach scene die from a long time which I won from my dear crafty friend KT Fit Kitty and I wanted to use it in my fun creation! Hope You will like it Kitty!

        I die cut the beach scene out of a white CS, then pop out the pieces and colored them with my Staedtler pencils. Added glossy accents to them for dimension. Now For the scalloped circle, I used distress inks and watercolored it, then added Wink of Stella shimmer to it for some shining!

           Now on a white CS I used My Beach scene die cut for embossing.

Adhered my scallop circle on embossed part and added all small die cut pieces to the scene, How fun!

        Adding sand effect to the card is easier than you think. I tore two pieces of white paper randomly and water colored it using distress ink. To create a shoreline, I distressed the edges too.  Then added some splatters for more textures. Then adhered it to my card base.

        Then I die cut paradise Palms and colored them using my Zig markers and glossy accent them. And created the whole scene. For the sentiment, I stamped it on a black scrap piece and heat embossed it and trimmed it on an angle, Then I die cut Sunshine sentiment out of black scrap CS and glossy accent it and adhere it on my scene. Now I added this panel to my card base and adhered scallop border at the top and enamel dots to finish it!!

I totally had a great time in creating this fun scene! Didn't you guys!!!!

Happy Birthday!

Hello, friends!
Happy Monday and Wishing all my American friends A very Happy 4th of July!

After a long gap, I created a one layer CAS card :D

I stamped my image using Misti with Tattered rose ink and coloured the image using my water colour pencils. Isn't this bear soooooo adorable! I love this fur baby!!!

Using Heidi Swapp stencil I applied embossing paste and before drying, sprinkled some diamond glitter dust. Then I created the sky and ground using distress inks for my BG. Applied a birthday washi tape.

For the inside of my card, I stamped the sentiment using embossing pad and heat embossed it with primary ebony embossing powder. Then watercolored the sentiment in different inks with a smoosh look.
