Deep underwater scene!

 Hello everyone!

Happy Saturday!

I absolutely love summer and underwater theme cards and made my own background! Are you ready to make it with me?

I have created a deep underwater background themed card combining different stamp sets and have a lot of details. I just love coral reefs from Tropical Scenes so much that I can't stop creating this ocean scene!

I am in Top 3! Yayyyy!

https://daranddiane.blogspot.com/2021/08/colors-of-summer-winners.html

It is a little big size card because it gave me a bit more space to work with. Firstly I blended some DI on a watercoloured sheet in a circular motion using a foam blending brush. Then die cutting a scalloped border rectangle frame out of this background.

Then stamped a shark, watercoloured it, added some dots to its body for some interest and fussy cut it.

Then I hand-painted directly some coral reefs, plants, starfish, seaweeds and sun rays in the water using acrylic paints to my background panel.

I added a cluster of small fishes in the deep water to the sunrays. A sea horse is stamped and heat embossed in white EP, watercoloured. I stamped some fish on a white CS and fussy cut them.

I handpainted a jellyfish in the end too!

Now arranged them all to create my scene in deep water. Added some dots for more interest.

Added that scalloped frame which I made a stack of 4 in all for some dimension and added a sentiment in black.

Some close-ups:

I hope you like my underwater scene card and are inspired to create for the Cut It Up Challenge!

Happy crafting!

Winter fun with polar friends at Antarctica!

 Hello friends!

Happy Friday!

Yesterday I got to work with this nice stamp set Polar bear fun from Poppy stamps and combined it with another stamp set cute animals too and fun with Zig watercolour brushes!

I went for a clean and simple card with a lot of white space.

Firstly I created an icy scene in the background to really flesh out the arctic home they live in and roughly drew an ice flow to sit my cute seal and slightly watercoloured the backgrounds with snow bergs. I stamped the cute baby polar bear and watercoloured too with some fishes in the cold water in Antarctica. And fussy cut the whole scene for more interest and dimension.

The funny seal is a critter that I stamped and coloured the little sweater in the traditional festive red colour with my Zigs and fussy cut.

Stamped the sentiment and created some snowfall too using a white gel pen. I placed my seal image with dimension on my finished card to stand out a bit more.
I really have fun making this card. Hope you like it!
Happy crafting!

Christmas in July!

 Hello to all!

Happy Tuesday!

Who doesn't love Christmas cards for gifting someone, so most of the challenge themes inspired me to make Christmas cards early!

Here is my first slimline card!

I started by die cutting my own base for a slimline card using a scalloped border die out of the white sheet. I created my own background using two different sizes of beautiful poinsettias from different stamp sets. I stamped the flowers in archival ink and watercoloured them. added some leaves as shown in the pic.

Using a foliage stencil I applied DI.

Now added some white splatters and a sentiment. But the sentiment ink little bleed as shown in the pic below.

So I stamped the sentiment again on an angled strip, added with dimension.

For the final touch added some half pearls at the centre of my flowers.
Hope you enjoyed this project!

Happy crafting!

Hello gorgeous!

 Hello to all!

It's very hot and humid today and wish some rain here soon......... and it's raining now!

Time to hit the beach, take a vacation and spend some relaxing time or create a summery card like this one!! I made a splashing puddle fun card with a pair of gorgeous Flamingoes with a water theme!

I cut the splashing puddles background in white and blended some distress inks for raining and splashing.

Die cut a pair of Flamingoes in white and inked them in shades of pink, added black color to the beak and eyes.

Just cut the more bottom rings and some rain puddles to add to my scene. Stamp the sentiment on the card.

Added the scalloped border with dimension.  Added the flamingoes with foam pads for dimension and stand in the water. Stamped some ripples in the water.

Ooh La la... look at those water splashes with gorgeous flamingoes. Made me think of a vacation for a beach trip at this hot summer season!
