Summer beach vibes!

 Hello to all!

Happy Tuesday!

How about spending some time on the beach in the summer?

Everyone loves the beach, right? When we're not at the beach we're thinking about the beach! At the beach life is different. Time doesn't move from hour to hour. We live by the currents, plan by the tides and follow the sun.

My project is a win category here on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/CgttRktBpWP/

https://girlzrebelchallenge.blogspot.com/2022/08/winnaar-en-top-3-challenge-17.html

I played with some alcohol inks on the postage rectangle die panel.

Added some copper gilding flakes for more textures and interest.

Die cut a pair of flip-flops out of a tropical flower transfer sheet and stamped some palm trees with sun and flying birds. Added that panel to the card base with a foiled sentiment.

I hope you all like my project!
Have a great time wherever you are
and enjoy moments of carefree and joy!
Happy crafting!

Summer scene!

Hello to all!

Happy Monday!

I needed a masculine birthday card and the theme of the challenge is to follow the fabulous sketch. I went for the summer scene using D.R.S.designs, the sponsor of the challenge!

I started by cutting out all the die-elements.  I stamped the beautiful crane scene image in black archival ink and watercolored the whole scene.

Embossed another die-cut panel by inking the cloud EF, love the pretty details.

Die-cut a circle panel out of the watercolored scene for more interest and matted all the layers on turquoise panels and finally on the main panel.
Die-cut the word celebrate 2 times and added it to the panel.
Added some white dots using a gel pen to the cranes.

Love the end result with all dimensions. I wish you a good end of the day!

Happy crafting!

Deep underwater scene!

 Hello everyone!

Happy Saturday!

I absolutely love summer and underwater theme cards and made my own background! Are you ready to make it with me?

I have created a deep underwater background themed card combining different stamp sets and have a lot of details. I just love coral reefs from Tropical Scenes so much that I can't stop creating this ocean scene!

I am in Top 3! Yayyyy!

https://daranddiane.blogspot.com/2021/08/colors-of-summer-winners.html

It is a little big size card because it gave me a bit more space to work with. Firstly I blended some DI on a watercoloured sheet in a circular motion using a foam blending brush. Then die cutting a scalloped border rectangle frame out of this background.

Then stamped a shark, watercoloured it, added some dots to its body for some interest and fussy cut it.

Then I hand-painted directly some coral reefs, plants, starfish, seaweeds and sun rays in the water using acrylic paints to my background panel.

I added a cluster of small fishes in the deep water to the sunrays. A sea horse is stamped and heat embossed in white EP, watercoloured. I stamped some fish on a white CS and fussy cut them.

I handpainted a jellyfish in the end too!

Now arranged them all to create my scene in deep water. Added some dots for more interest.

Added that scalloped frame which I made a stack of 4 in all for some dimension and added a sentiment in black.

Some close-ups:

I hope you like my underwater scene card and are inspired to create for the Cut It Up Challenge!

Happy crafting!
