Diwali Gift Book Box Card

Hello!
Happy Friday!

On Diwali,
as sweets are exchanged,
crackers are burnt,
flowers and rangolis decorate your home,
thousands of lamps illuminate the earth.

It is a festive season with loved ones at home so gift them in exclusive way and surprised them. Here I am presenting an exclusive Book Box Card greetings to your loved ones this Diwali.

I took a lot of pictures to explain well.
I used a 300 gsm white sheet to make my book box card.
I cut the sheet 18" X 8" for the book cover. Here are the dimensions where you have to fold and marked.

My card is 18 inches wide and folded the 2 inches in the middle to make the spine and then marked only the 8 inches from both the sides.
For the book pages, you need 4 sheets measuring 8" X 4.1" in all.

Now fold and creased these in every 1 c.m. intervals using my Score Board.

Now fold the strips in fanfold/mountain fold/valley fold style. Take care that everything is going to be nice!

Now put together the stiffeners and press together as shown in the below pics.

And glue the back together. That's how should it look like!

The frame is ready and now I covered it with a border frame in a raspberry pink sheet with frilled lace.

I selected some gold print sheets from Forever always paper packs and adhered accordingly on my card base with raspberry pink matting.
Now paste the box frame into the card base inside and make the rest.
I placed a pretty ribbon to close my box securely.

The front panel:

Made a 3D rectangle frame window shaker using thin cut dies. I placed a cute Lord
Ganesha with shaker elements, some handmade flowers, chippies and textures. And added a Celebrate sentiment using a layer of white foam.

Firstly I applied some sparkle pastes using a stencil.

Die-cut some flowers out of glitter sheets.

Shaped them through embossing pad and added some pollens.

Applied metallic copper blaze wax to prime chippies.

The inside view of the book box:

Added a pocket at inside left panel. And placed a card with Diwali greetings. Decorated the panel with handmade flowers.

Now the right-side panel!

I decorated the interior with loads of flowers and some Earthen Diyas.
Tip: You can adjust the papers and embellishments to fit whatever theme you would like.

The backside view:

Added a tassel at front spine panel.

I hope you enjoyed the pictorial and will have a try at a book box for yourself!
