Wishing You All A Happy And prosperous Diwali!!!
Diwali is known as the festival of lights celebrated in INDIA. As it is a tradition to decorate and light up our houses with an impressive array of candles and small clay oil lamps to symbolize the triumph of good over evil. As a family we spend most of the day preparing the house by cleaning and decorating it before the evening party begins. The evening party for family and friends to come together, enjoy a varied and plentiful selection of flavorsome Indian dishes, busting crackers after the God worship. The house becomes a beacon of light and merriment full of laughter, music and fireworks.
Here is my Diwali décor piece(set of 4 pieces)........
I stamped the images on a heavyweight light yellow colored CS and trimmed the edges with a zigzag scissor. These are the wooden mounted stamps (two different border stamps and one is a peacock image stamp) and I combined all these images using watercolor cakes. I created multicolored peacocks. I added three different colors on my block and put my stamp on that block and then stamped the images. Embellished with some sequences and rhinestones for an eye.
Tomorrow is the actual Diwali day and I am enjoying to decorating my house and welcoming guests, sharing sweets and good wishes. And I will add Rangoli tomorrow at my Pooja (worship) place!!! I will share the post day after tomorrow again.
