Rainbow Bloosom Card with Iron Off Embossing Technique!

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!
I've had so much fun of water coloring! I have found my own way of watercolouring and I'm really having fun! :)  As I'm getting more comfortable with this medium, I'm experimenting and learning lots along the way.  This one is done with clear gloss embossing powder with Iron Off Embossing technique, Distress Inks and I love the vibrant colors.
I started with a snippet of water colored CS and by using splatter stencil I watermarked it and heat embossed it with clear gloss. By using a variety of distress inks directly for a rainbow effect and misted it with water and dry it completely. I lightly iron this CS from backside on an another snippet of water colored CS. Here you can see the another piece with reverse image of stenciling, embossing and water coloring effect.........

As usual I saw this die (new in my stash) and fell in love, Its called Vespertine blossoms from Memory Box. I cut it in snippet of black CS and has ton of clear gloss to create more texture and shine! here is close up:
I stamped and heat embossed that lovely quote on a snippet of vellum and layered those shiny blossoms on the water colored panel to soften my background. Than matted it on a black CS. Few sequins were added to dress it up a bit!

Hope you enjoyed my latest creation!

SMILE

Hello everyone!
Hope you are enjoying your crafting!
Did you miss me! I needed the break as I was not feeling well for few days back, but I am fresh now:).
My first sweet and lovely blog friend  Monika from http://creativewithmonika.blogspot.in/ is celebrating her Birthday Linky Party!!!!!!!!! She has invited us to CASE one of her cards and her party continues till the end of April. She has chosen some of her favorites cards and I have tried to CASE one of her stunning creation!

I created a cute and fun card with combining of several techniques which are her favorite ones- stenciling, embossing and she is master in to create her own backgrounds:))))

First, I stamped this cute and smiling Alligator on a  snippet of vellum and for a subtle look I heat embossed it in Wow Earthtone mint regular. Then I colored it with distress markers.
For creating the water waves I have stenciled the waves using embossing paste and before dried I added Opaque Primary Azure embossing powder on it and heat embossed it!
Then I created a window in the center of my card. And used this snippet piece in inside panel and sponged it and then laid the waved panel on it. Then for adding more interest, I added one more scalloped frame on that vellum! I used the cloud stencil and sponged it to create a sky background. At the bottom panel I added a splash border for more fun!
I have used a new sentiment stamp by Fiskars for the SMILE sentiment(love the font style)
A close up look; I added some glossy accents for shinning eyes!
I hope you enjoyed the card. Thank You for the opportunity to celebrate your month long Birthday Sweet Monika! May god filled the joy in every field in your lovely life!
Have a wonderful day!

Altered Shabby Chic Bird House

Hello everyone!
Happy Sunday to you all!
Today I am sharing an altered bird house which I have created first time:) as an DT post for Catchy Challenges and the theme is anything goes!
First of all you can take any size of recycle box.
I cut off the one side part of it as shown in the picture.
Then I took a wedding invitation card, I have a lot of scraps in my stash. Measure according to your box width and height and then same measure it again from the top. Now for the hut shape I measured 2'' panel from the top and created a middle point and draw a triangle shape and for the flap I measured 0.7" and cut it now.
  Now paste both the panels.

Traced this house template on the PP. Covered it with patterned paper from each and every side as shown in the picture. I cut a through a circle at one side to create a window for the bird. I love these  papers and it coordinated so well.
I made a flap as the part of roof for the bird house. I cant really give precise measurements as it depends on the size of your box.

Now the fun part begin. Decorate your bird house. I decorated with some laces, pearled wire, leaf borders(distressed them), jute lace, borders, handmade flowers and some are from my stash. I distressed the circle edge and some of my rose flowers too.
This beautiful altered birdhouse would be a lovely décor item in any house. Use it to decorate your desk, use it as a special pencil holder, or just give it away as a piece of art.
 This is the front side.
To open the box I added a flower, lace, pink colored satin ribbon.

I made my own nest out of packaging material and gesso it to create some interest.

 Here is the inside:
There is a birthday tag as my daughters birthday in this week, so I gifted it to my daughter:). Hope she will like it! As she is not at home, went for further studies at Chennai. Don’t you think this would make just the sweetest handmade gift?  I absolutely adore it!
So guys, I hope you really enjoyed the tutorial!
I hope you all have a fantastic day and thanks so much for stopping by!
