Christmas Girl

Hello Crafty Peeps!
I hope you have been having a fantastic week!
I used the Inspired by Stamping IBSIC #88 Monthly Blog Challenge as inspiration for this tag layout using all the three options!
Here is a picture of the sketch:
IBSIC-#88---TagsIBSIC-#88---SketchIBSIC-#88---Colors
Today I've creating my First ever Tag using one of this cool, sassy gal image ! Here is my creation:
The Uptown Girl is  just perfect for my friend and I just love her dress, such a pleasure to color! She is in her Christmas outfit on. I just replaced the lampshade and attached a glass in her hand and hand drawn a Christmas cap on her head by masking technique!
I used promarkers and copic markers both. Then I fussy cut out her , added some diamond stickles to her cap, heels and at the scarf. Then clear embossed the whole image for glossy shine.  I love this gal -  a traditional Christmas image but I thought this would be perfect for my 22 year old friend who loves parties and celebrations.
I recently added lots of new dies in my collection and love the new tag set. It has raised embossed panel too with two different scalloped border, love it! For creating more interest I added Texture paste on the Swiss dots and  heat embossed by adding loose glitter powder on the dots. Then distressed the edges. I used snowflake papers for the background. I punched some snowflakes, clear embossed them and added it to my banner with a double tone color twine.
I recently won a "Holiday Sentiment Stamp set" from "Inspired By Stamping", Big Thanks to Joanna! I love this big and bold sentiment:). I stamped the sentiment on a snippet vellum using wow embossing powder and heat embossed it.

I used my corner punch for the corners and my Spellbinder Rectangular dies for the base.
I wanted to keep the style cool and modern too.  I added a strip of a red ribbon for texture.
For decoration I added a few rhinestones.  I then adhered all the parts together with foam dimensional tape and finished by setting an eyelet and adding a red colored ribbon.

Supplies used:
Snippet Red CS, White Textured CS, Dotted Vellum Sheet; Pattern Paper from Daisy and Dandelion stack set
Party Flags from Joy Crafts dies: Build a Tag Two from Spellbinders, A2 curved Matting Basics A from Spellbinder Nestabilities
Girl Stamp set from W& M Clear Stamps: Sentiment from Inspired By Stamping( Holiday Set)
Wow embossing powders-Clear Gloss Ultra , Primary Apple Red Super Fine, Sparkling snow
Loose Red Glitter Powder from Itsy Bitsy,
Texture Paste, Versamark Embossing pen
Snowflake Jef Punch
Static pad
Diamond Stickle from Ranger

Tall Birch trees, Sparkly Snow

Hello everyone!
Today I wanted to share a Christmas themed card with winter snow.
I started by applying distress inks on a water color sheet to create a night winter scene and splatter some drops of pearlized water.
The birch trees creates the perfect background for any nature scene. To make the birch trees(hand drawn), I cut out strips from a white card stock and snip small "A" shaped cuts along the edges. I inked the edges with gold color and pearl metallic color. Then heat embossed to show some snow at the edges of the tree.
I made my own silhouette reindeer stamp out of foam sheet. This is my handmade stamp:
I stamped my image and fussy cut out, heat embossed in gold to give it a feel of Christmas, then tucked over the trees with foam tape. On a white snippet piece to create the ground hill areas and applied snow sparkle glitter powder to give the scene of a frosty cold night.. Then added one more layer with a silver thread ribbon .

I covered the whole scene by adding a frame and adhered on my base panel. I attached a silver thread along with frame and added a winter wishes tag with a touch of snow. Finally I accented with some pearls, bow with a star charm.
I hope you enjoyed my creation.

Supplies used:
Distress inks-Tumbled glass, faded jeans and touch of black soot
Fevicryl Pearl metallic colors
Wow Sparkling snow glitter Majestic gold sparkle embossing powders
Sizzix framelits  die cut along with 20 stamp set
Spellbinder Large classics rectangle dies

Happy birthday

Birgit Edblom, a super talented card maker, who also made this great card sketch for November challenge: at Allt Om Scrap blog.
And Here's my take on the sketch.....
I made a Birthday card using  a green colored textured CS for the base and matted a framed designer paper using foam tape. I punched the edges.  The cute elephant image is colored by promarkers and embossed it with clear gloss for shiny look, fussy cut out it and adhered my image on a frame panel using pop dots. Then I stamped a light ornament using embossing powders. Then I decorated my frame using star dies , the silver color stars are the snippets and embellished them.
 Here is a close up.....
I cut the Happy birthday sentiment 3 times and embossed it.

Thinking of you

Hi everybody
This week I'm sharing a card featuring one of my favorite flowers... sketched Tulips(which I won during a blog hop at STAMPlorations)! I just got it in the mail last  to last week , A big Thanks to Shery and have been itching to ink it up.  My card  features mixed media art, layers,  text stamping, watercolors techniques, gelatos, and wooden block stamping. And I am very much inspired by Shirley Bees and Shery's work at Stamploration!!!
I stamped the tulips several times (masking the blooms) in black archival ink on a watercolor paper. Then spritz some water for water coloring and  using gelatos and for the stems I used water colors( wet on wet technique). For the center part, I hand cut the upper part of tulips and then die cut it using label framelits.  I once again stamped the image on an another paper  and wanted to highlight that part, So I opted to fussy-cut the image and popped it up.
Here is the closer  view:
To create my BG, I used  text stamping in a book print style on an another watercolor paper. Then  I blended some gelatos and water spritz them and gently rubbed with my finger. I wanted a lighter effect. Before drying the paper I stamped with a wooden leaf block using distress ink. I inked my stamp, spritz with water and then stamp.  It gives a watercolored look to the image without any of the work.  Super simple and fun to do! ( I have several wooden stamps since my childhood and do you know how old are they.......its my Grand Maternal Mother collections who gifted me......How Amazing and give thanks to her!!!!).

I  stamped my sentiment, layered it all up and added a felt border, some burlap piece for texture behind the image, a butterfly charm and gems to finish.
Hope you like my creation!

Supplies used:
Whisper white CS, Textured watercolor sheet, Textured bottle green colored felt snippet
Spellbinders Nestabilities Label four framelits;  Sizzix Thinlits dies banners and borders
Prima Marketing Lady Bird #2 Clear Stamp Set  (for text) 563134; Sentiment from  Sizzix framelits 20 stamp set
Faber Castell Gelatos- banana, blood orange, aqua dolce; watercolors from Milan
Distress inks-Scattered straw, barn door, pine needles; Archival jet black ink

As I am not a Christian but I decided to celebrate this Jolly Festival this year. Anyhow I decided to create some fun Mini-Holiday-Christmas Scenes included with a snowman, a house, a decorated Christmas tree and a gift box with a candy and create a Christmas Eve night scene too!!!  I had fun making everything!  So here is my creation:
The scene is created on a thermacol sheet.
I created a snowman shaped card, hand drawn and water colored and added some diamond stickles, star stickers, buttons.
Inside is a wishing sentiment with gift stickers.
I recycled a pepsi can and decorated it with some designer papers, neighbourhood stamps, trees, felt foam grass, a lamppost and a lace. And lastly added a star with a Merry X-Mas sentiment(handwritten).

Next one is a gift box having candy cane and a gift in it. I made the candy cane using straws and covered them with white and red colored wool all around it. The gift box is having a gorgeous handle to hold it!

So you gotta have a Christmas tree right for a great holiday scene?  My tree is actually handmade and fussy cut including lots of ornaments, toy charms and gifts at the tip of the tree corners and a star metal charm at the top!

Here is the final result.........I added picked fence all around it, placed the green moss as a carpet and adhered some more colored dry trees.
Here is the close up:
I decorate this with some lights to create a night scene and fun!!!!

Fall Florals with Cherry Lynn frame

Hello Crafters!
Good Evening!
Here is my today's creation:

Today I wanted to show you how I made a card for fall using a drywall tape to create a textured water colored background. I was inspired by Danielle's creation.
To create the BG I used some Drywall Tape as a stencil.  Just cut a few stripes and stick it to my white cardstock. It is  the self-adhesive kind so I didn’t need to apply any glue. Here is the drywall tape, I showed it on a darker surface.....
Then I applied a heavy layered of embossing paste(homemade). After drying I  added some water color!  To blend the colors and soften them a bit I misted the panel with water and used a paper towel to dab extra water.. Once dried, I trimmed the edges .

I love my Cheery Lynn dies (new in my stash), that is the frame I have used on my card today and adhered it on my BG panel.
My card base is a white panel and second layer is a blue colored mirri sheet. And I added a little stripe of  Silver colored Snippet peeking under the sentiment.

I created a handmade flower using my Octagon die cut and distressed it and added some diamond dust. The leaf and a gorgeous butterfly are created  from a metal sheet. I added some alchol inks to them.
The sentiment is heat embossed in black on a banner die cut.
To create some more texture and interest I added some embellishments. There is a blue colored fiber ribbon bow with a cameo on it which I made in my mold using heat glue gun, distressed her and sparkled her.
Some crochet distressed flowers and mulberry rose flowers, pollens, a pretty white lace, a picket fence, some pearls and gems were added to my creation.
Here is the inside view:

To match with the outer colors I highlighted the sentiment in multicolor. I used some distress ink. I put some drops of distress ink on my block and misted with water and then stamped.

Well thank you for stopping by today I do hope you have enjoyed my creation!
Supplies used:
