Happy Weekend
This time, I created a new project - a beautiful "Wall Hanging" for someone special and my daughter also helped me to create this beauty!
I needed base for the wall hanging, so I used a CD (earth friendly/recycle) and some card stocks. I stamped the "Birth of star" from Sweet Pea Stamps( won from Holley giveaway) image twice for decoupage onto the white CS, colored with my black promarker and blender. I used a Sakura glitter gel pen for her hair. For the glamorous dress I applied diamond dust on it. For the wings I heat embossed using Wow embossing powders( black, white, and golden glitter) and also applied glossy accents (new) on her wings. And I pasted a paper napkin on the moon and sprinkled golden glitter dust on it. Isn't she a beautiful fairy....
I used CD as a sky background for the birth of star. I cut a circle from Summer Bloom PP( i think it matched perfectly) to cover my front and a pastel pink to cover from back. Then I added some circles using Balloon punch to make a scalloped shape. The star is from thin let die cut using a glitter blue origami sheet which I adhered on to the CD.
I used a Floral doily motifs (Spellbinder nestabilities) and lots of Jef Punches to make several flowers of pastel colours using Versamark inks and tumbled Glass Distress ink. And on the doily motif, I heat embossed it using pink glitter embossing powder. I added a Fence die using Lemon Flower Mat stack PP. The flourishes I used are - pretty green lace, a lime green ribbon(new), a green button( from Little Birdies pack), a pink gem ring on the bow, some rhinestones , pearls, silk weaved rings, a sparkly butterfly.
I added a tag at the upper left side corner using pink glittered corrugated sheet with a 'memories' sentiment sticker on it and added a 'star" charm using baby pink baker twine to make it special.
The sentiment is free and colored printable The shape is hand cut and the edges are heat embossed using opaque pink glitter powder.
To put all the wall hanging pieces together, I used a pink wool and added some big beads, silver rings, pearls and added a baker twine to make the loop and glued all the pieces together on it.
I love the way it came together and I am sure that it will brighten up someone special's wall !!!
