Happy Mother's Day

Hey everybody!
I wish you all a very Happy Mother's Day in advance!!!

I have an exciting news here..... I was invited as a GD this week for Scrapping 4 Fun challenges and I feel honored as well. The challenge there this week is" Happy mother's Day". People all over the world celebrate this special day to show their mothers what they really mean to them and how important it is to have their shadow on us.This is the time to show what we have for our mother; pure love, extreme care, great respect,high gratitude, true affection and so much more. nobody can fill up the gap or replace a mother, The ultimate shelter and the great protector without whom we could not crawl, move, stand and walk. So, this card is dedicated to my mom who made me learn what was good or bad. Your loving nature and your delicate words are always a source of inspiration.
So guys make sure you make this day a 'her' day!!!

Here is my card:

I used an adorable "mother and a baby hug" image which I downloaded for free
( don't remember from where). Such a touching image. I wanted to give this image a soft look and colored it with my promarkers. I decoupaged the image to give it dimension and added golden stickles in her hair.

The frame is cut from Spellbinder Shapeabilities Just Swingin'. This card has a lots of layers. The scripted pattern paper is from DCWV Recollections 12x12 stack pad and rest of the floral PP is from my stash.

The sentiment is free which I think is perfect for this image.

I made my own fancy embellishments . Rose flowers are made of by 6 petal Jef punches and heat embossed using silver bell and nice ice blue Wow embossing powders and I made two curled swirls using metal wire. Then glitter and pearls were added on it.

I added a pearl string with a heart banner and charms to make it classy and add glamor. Also I did some faux stitching on the oval die cut. I used scrappin gear blue chalk set at the edges of the papers. I used a Jef corner punch too, I finished off my card with a white lace, blue stripped ribbon with a bow, silver circles, butterfly. The leaves are a die cut -anja leaf from Marianne Creatables.

This is such a wonderful make. The blues are lovely and looks gorgeous with the white lace and flowers. The image is heart warming and goes with that beautiful sentiment perfectly. I really like the extra touches you have added to the image, the glitter in the hair and the ring. This really is a card that would be treasured.
