For a Special lady

Hi Everyone!
                It has been another glorious weekend here. This time I tried to make a vintage shabby look card. I used cream coloured CS, black CS and a vintage designer paper from my stash.

 

 I used a Wrinkle-Free Distress Technique. Here are the steps:
1. I swiped the red, green food colours and scattered straw distress ink on a tile.
2. Misted the inks with water until small beads were formed.
3. Laid the White CS into the water ink to soak up the colours. Took paper out of the ink. I used heat tool to dry the paper. The paper may curl, but when dried will flatten out.
4. Added more colour to the paper by placing CS on the ink again. Dried the paper once again with the heat  tool. Then I used the paper to make my card.

              I then used the fairy image from Hot of The Press-1120 (fairy stamp set) using Versa black ink. and added some swirls also from this stamp set. Layered it on black CS  and ripped the edges. I again used the same technique on DP, doily and Itsy Bitsy Fancy assorted die cut. The sentiment is from the same set. This time  I used a black fabric bow with a metal buckle and glued it with fabric glue.

 

       My shabby flowers are  punched using Jef (6 petal flowers set) punches. I used the same technique for colouring and then distressed  the edges with scattered straw distress ink.

       I knotted a brown organza polka dot ribbon (new in my stash) and attached a vintage button to it. The butterfly is a die cut (from Sizzix & Hero Arts stamp set) and was stamped with black ink, colored with promarkers and golden Sakura Glitter pen.

     I finished off the inside with a lovely sentiment from We R Memory Keepers Mom stamp set(NEW)
