Colorful Roses!

Happy Thursday!

I  played with my favorite new stamp Fresh Cut Roses in a very rich and colorful way!

These days I am obsessed with coloring. And I tried to have a feel of autumn here!

 I went for no line watercoloring , so I stamped my image using Tattered Rose DI onto a watercolor card base.

Firstly I colored them with my Zig Clean Clear Real brushes and gave depth and dimensions using Polochromos Pencils.

I wanted to give this card a watercolor illustration look and I think it close enough.

I watercolored the background with a loose watercoloring technique using Zig brushes and added some faded splatters. The sentiment is from the same set.

Dressed it up with beautiful crystal clear sequins!

Guest Designing for Stamplorations!

Well, I have a pretty awesome news!!

I'm soooo super excited and happy to announce that I'm joining Stamplorations as a Guest Designer Team with two more talented ladies Gwendolyn Goh and Renee Hamilton for three months term i.e Oct-Dec'18! Yayy!!

Today I am going to showcase cards using the same stamp set Blossom Overture with lots of coloring!

Card 1

My first card with Crazy Double running stitch rectangle  Nesting Dies panel with a swooshed inking technique panel of DI and colouring with polychromos colour pencils and added a few gems for sparkle. It has Autumn mood and feels to it!

I love this pretty stamp set with so many floral images and sentiments.

Here are the steps in making:

Dabbed some Distress inks onto a glass top to show you clearly. You can use craft mat too.

Repeat with different shades of DI. Spritzed it with water, so the ink form droplets.

Swished that die cut panel through the ink.

Placed the card back once again onto the ink surfaced to pick up a further layer of inky droplets.

Stamped the flowers with masking technique using Jet black ink.
Now I used my Polychromos pencils to add depth and shadows instead. You can see the difference adding the colored pencils made on the depth of the flowers!

Card 2

For this card, I started with my own background by stamping label images in different dye color inks.

Stamped the rose image using these 3 inks shown in the pic.

Colored it with my polychromos pencils. And stamp the sentiment.




Using inlaid die cut technique, I die cut the Bold word BE from You word die set out of the stamped rose image and popped it up.




Card 3

This card is started with the blending of distress oxides abandoned coral and crushed olive, added water splatters for textures. The flower images were stamped on watercolor sheet. The blue shaded flower is colored with ZIG markers plus using of white gel pen for the centre. Added a strip of DP with a stack of bold you die cut ( 2 times) and a sentiment. Finished with a green color droplet.

Well, that's all for the projects! What a difference adding that bit of colored pencils made to my projects. I hope you'll try adding some extra oomph to your colored projects by combining your mediums!!

Clean and simple

Happy weekend!

I am back with another Friendship card!

Couldn't stop me to make one more card but this time with Clean and Simple one with cuteness happening here!

I am inspired by the beautiful pinks but also added some tones of yellow and blues with some bokeh dots all around the image in grey shades.

I let the color my image be the star of the show!

          I stamped the image on a watercolor sheet and started coloring with my Chameleon tone pens.  And stamped the sentiment from another stamp set. I stamped the sentiment on another sheet too and fussy cut the Better banner part and added one more layer on it for more depth.

I love the sentiment so true- Life is always better with friends!!!

Rangoli platter in MM style!

Me again!

Without Rangoli, the Diwali celebration is incomplete for me! And this time I prepared it in advance:)hehe

I started with a die cut circle out of a cardboard sheet.



Applying white embossing paste using Mandala stencil. And quickly added some gold embossing glitter before drying the paste and heat embossed the pattern. Wow, what a great result with glitter and shine!

  Using Pierced scalloped borders die I cut 4 strips out of a white CS.



Now die cut 4 Diyas from a designer sheet. Decorate my Diyas with some half adhesive pearls and some jewels in different shapes. Added some gold glitter glue at the edges of diyas and all cuts to highlight it more. Same steps were applied for scalloped borders too.

Now I Die cut some Margeurita Flowers and leaves in different sizes, inked them, shaping them as shown in the pic. I made 2 of the flowers in same shade. One in white with gold edges and the other one is distress with inks and highlighted with gold then. Now your Rangoli Platter set is ready.

And It's so versatile you can make so many unique designs using it. Here are some different samples to decorate!

Celebrate- a festive Diwali card

Happy Saturday!

Diwali is an important festival for Hindus and it is only a month ahead!

So I am preparing my cards in advance for gifting!

I started with a black color pierced scallop border and here I used only stitched edge one. And by placing Diya die I die cut some of the parts out of it.

On a white card base I did some ink blending using DO, then added some water splatters and some white splatters to thinned white chalk paint for textures.

Now decorate my Diya as shown in the pic and I converted it into a shaker with lots of dimensions. Adhered that edge border along the one side to my white color card base. Added that Diya now with a golden flame. Embellished it with some stones and jewels.

Added the Celebrate sentiment with shadow touch. And finished with it with some stones.

I actually created a very quick card. This is my take on this very beautiful and creative sketch.

I love creating a scene and this cute image is perfect for making this style of cards!

I wanted to go on something very sweet and take out my watercolor pencils to create this beautiful garden scene with cute bunnies and watercolor background with falling leaves!

I started with stamping the image in the centre of die cut panel from a watercolored textured sheet. Watercolored them and added depth to my image.




Then created a stone path and at the bottom some grasses. At the top watercolored the background and stamped those falling leaves, colored and shaded them.

......dark green color tag with a sentiment with embossed feeling to the white powder, some rhinestones.

I think, there is something truly magical when you saw how it all came together to create the scene, you envisioned in the mind!!

They made me crack these cute little bunnies, do you like? 🐇
