Hello everyone!
Happy Monday!
Spring has already arrived with so many beautiful blooms! Today is a bright and sunny day here after two days of rain........ I made two cards for today's hop and making me smile out loud because I know spring is already in the air YAY!
We are giving love to the Spring Botanical series!
To make this card I used the Spring Botanicals Daffodil stamp set. Since our daffodils just started blooming this week in my park, why not use this beautiful stamp and give it some love!!
I stamped the daffodil flower in Black archival ink. I paired it with the Background Blocks splatter stamp set using DI.
Then I watercolored the flower using the distressed inks.
I stamped the sentiment using black archival ink and layered it to my metallic olive green CS.
In the end, finished it off with some black sequins. Love the watercolor look!
Card 2
I used the same set in a different style for my other card.
On a piece of white CS, I stamped the image using DI. I watercolored it with the same inks and then fussy cut it for a dimensional look. To create my background, I paired it with the Mid-Century Modern Squares stencil. The mowed lawn ink is blended on the bigger white panel and the squeezed lemonade ink is blended on the small white panel to match my daffodil flower. I love the soft look I achieved on this.
The sentiment is from the same set and I finished it with some lemon and apple green sequins.
I had so much fun with these. Hope I inspired you!

The inking and colouring of both cards is gorgeous. I love the background of the first especially. X
Beautiful cards! 🥰
Stunning cards. The blending of ink really looks great and the colouring of the daffs is brilliant. Love them both equally. Thank you so much for the inspiration X X
2 beautiful cards! I really love how the splatter stamp gave the look of a smooshed background, but you had a lot more control. Thinking that stamp should be on my wishlist.
2 totally different cards with one and the same stamp set. I like the background of the first card.
