A special Birthday

Hi everyone!
happy Friday!
                    I made a Birthday card for a cute little baby boy who turned one! I followed the sketch for the latest sketch challenge at Little Claire's Design.

The image I used is from My Grafico - Baby Basket and I coloured it with promarkers. The gingham baby print paper is from DCWV and the dotted paper is from my stash. My base is a white ivory CS and I layered some baby blue and yellow CS and stitched them (real). I made a photo frame out of blue jute sheet and adhered the image in it. I added soft blue colour to the background of image using Scrappin Chalk.

 I added a heart printed ribbon in  turquoise and put on a soft yellow bow. I attached a flower charm and baby word die cut with a raffia. I have used a fun puffy sticker sentiment.

The sentiment is from Baby wall Quote and just perfect for this sweet image and highlighted by blue Sakura Gelly pen.

Birthday in the Dinosaur World!!!

Good afternoon!
                        Today's project is showcasing the World of Dinosaurs GRRRRRRR!!! This the last project as a GDT at Tuesday Throwdown at http://www.tuesdaythrowdown.blogspot.in/ for the Month of June. This week's theme is Dino and the sponsor is MyGrafico digitals!!! Here is what I created:

 I made a fancy fold card because I wanted to create a jungle scene for Dinos. The images are from Dino set. I printed the palm tree twice and colored them with promarkers and fussy cut them and attached them with a green raffia at the front panel of the card with a Happy birthday sentiment saying D for Dinosaur which is a free sentiment from Melonheadz illustrations.

 The volcano is coloured by promarkers and I paper pieced its parts. Then I added red glitter powder at the top of the volcano using sticker paper and popped up for dimension.

 I added a polka dot ribbon to the brown mesh ribbon and made a double loop bow. A chipboard leaf charm and a beautiful button was stitched to the ribbon.

 Some tiny dinos were added at the bottom out of brown foam sheet, aren't they looking cute!!!

 Here is the gate open and look at the scenic beauty, lol :)

 The huge but a cute Dino having scales on his body was fussy cut and green pearlescent 3D outliner added on the spots by cutting the holes. Google eye was added on its cute face with a smile.

Winter Fun Gift Box

Good afternoon!

I want to showcase my new project which is a gift box .

This is the gift box base.

Using Penguin set from Hot Off The Press, I stamped the penguin image with versamark embossing pad on a watercolour CS and heat embossed using Primary Ibony embossing powder from Wow. The muffler is coloured by using Pine needle distress ink. The background cloud were watercoloured by using Pecock feathers distress ink. I distressed the doily too. This is a winter scene so i added some snowflakes using Jef punch and applied stickles too.

I added a shimmery silver cloth from all of the 4 sides. I  placed an elastic in between the cloth and stitched it with machine. In the picture shown I stamped the cloth with polka dots stamp using same distress ink (made my own dot stamp) and I love the effect:).

At the top of the box a white pearl layer was added. Then I embellish the top using white rose flowers, pollens. leaves and its look like sprinkle of ice using diamond dust. To open the box I added a metal flower charm and placed a gem in the center.

The tag shape is hand cut. The sentiment is from the same set, heat embossed using Wow Silver Ice blue and Silver glitter powders, fussy cut out it. Then I add Happy Birthday sentiment. The snowflake stamps are from the same set. I  attached a dotted organza ribbon.

I love this gift box!!!

Day Dreamer

Hi everyone!
                    Here is my another project. In the last week I went for some shopping and added so many things to my stash and now I am enjoying using them in my creations!!! I thought this is the perfect time to make boys or men cards, so here is another one . I made this card for my nephew's   birthday who is 12 years old and a day dreamer....

The stamp is used from Whimsy stamps by Elizabeth Bell( new) called Little Jack and Bobbin snoozin'. He is just cute and adorable. The whole image was a lot of fun to colour and I loved working on that tree and ground using my promarkers. I used a watercolour CS and create a cloudy scene using Distress ink. And I love using plaid paper background.

I used a Day Dreamer chipboard sentiment. Applied Gesso and let it dry, then I distressed it and added Diamond glitter and heat embossed it. Then tied it with a baker twine using an eyelet.

I also distress a white craft lace ribbon partially which I won recently. And I attached a baker twine with his Fishing stick holding some fish charms.

Here is the inside view of the card which is perfectly matched with a perfect sentiment "Life is Beautiful" and added golden and blue glitter on it.

This was a fun card to make and I hope my nephew will like it. The other supplies used while making this card are:

Fairyland

Hello Crafters!
                        Here is my 3rd project as a GDT for Tuesday Throwdown at http://tuesdaythrowdown.blogspot.in/. This week's sponsor is Milk Coffee and I loved to play with cute "Tiffany Fairy". The theme this week is CELEBRATIONS. So I made a Birthday card using the given image.

I coloured my image using promarkers and for the wings I used Fluorescent Pink Touch Marker and added diamond glitter dust and cotton candy stickles from Ranger(won this at Fussy and Fancy Blog Hop) and fussy cut out her . The die cut is from Spellbinder Shapeabilities Just Swingin'. For the tree I misted the watercolour paper using distress inks and then die cut it and embossed it, added some multicolor sequins. I mounted my image on Cheery Lynn Doily Dies( new) using silver textured paper.

The dotted pink PP is from Bo Bunny Bold and Bright Double Dot Designs using Spellbinder Nestabilities labels Four Small and the sentiment is from Inspired by stamping Big Wishes ll which is stamped in black Versamark ink and then again stamped in Encore ultimate metallic Teal ink.

I misted the background using the same die and peacock feather distress ink and am very happy to see the result.  I added some new ribbons to my stash and got a chance to use the new one which is very pretty in Lilac gingham border and I made a double bow this time and attached a butterfly charm(new). The other elements to finish my card are a silver corrugated ribbon, pearls, rhinestones, handmade flowers, silver leaves.

Happy Birthday Dad

Hi everyone!
Hope you enjoyed your weekend!
          Now this is my 2nd post as a Guest Designer for the month of June at http://tuesdaythrowdown.blogspot.in/. This week the sponsor is great Fred She Said and the challenge theme is For a Special Man. I chose 'Nolan with a sign'  Digi and when I saw this image , I went for a celebration card. My papers are from celebration stack pad 12'x12" from DCWV and Jags 8"x8"Paper pack (new in my stash- That tag and Inch-tape print with flower strip).

 I coloured my image with my promarkers and Sakura Pigma brushes and fussy cut the image. I made a frame using jute paper from Itsy bitsy. The sentiment is from Little darlings Birthday Sentiments.

 I added numbers from the celebration stack and popped them up.

 I heat embossed the Best wishes sentiment using Wow opaque primary azure regular and the edges too.

 For embellishments I used a blue button, brown hemp cord, a blue opaque pearl and a key charm tied with carribean baker twine.

 This sentiment is also from the same set.

Hi crafting friends!
                              I made a CAS card for the Father's Day Celebration. I decided to go with a technique called misting with distress inks.

 I used white textured paper(new in my stock). To make the striped edge I stamped the striped vintage border from WR memory keepers in Faded jeans and tumbled glass. Then I used a square punch and misted some square CS too using faded jeans and placed them on another white panel. Then I placed a marble print circle on the square pieces. I stamped a telephone image thrice(I won this stamp from Fussy and Fancy as a blog Hop winner,which is very cute!!!), coloured it using faded jeans distress ink and adhered a dial from the other image stamped in black. I applied glossy accent on it to give it a sheen. I placed a vellum banner and stamped the sentiment Hello Dad from WR Memory Keepers dad set with versamark embossing pad and heat embossed it using Wow Black twinkle and spice ice blue embossing powder. I placed a die cut from  Spellbinder Shapeabilities just swingin by set and used this die as a music note (isn't it a good idea?) using black glittered foam sheet . I distressed the white CS edges too. I adhered the telephone image with pop up dots for dimension.

 For the inside, I applied distress ink on craft sheet and sprayed water for misting . Putting my CS upside down, I let it absorb the colours and then tipped my paper to create a drip effect.  I popped up the image and fussy cut out it but this time the reciever is detatched from the hooks. The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Big Wishes ll  and heat embossed it using Twinle Black powder and highlighted it with Sakura Blue Glitter pen. I stitched both of the panels. I used a light blue silver cord, a vintage button and a heart as embellishments.

 I am very happy after created this card using this technique!!!

When dreams come true!

Hello Crafters!!!
Good Day to all of you!
   Today, I am sooooo excited to announce that I have been asked to join the Tuesday Throwdown Team as a Guest Designer for this month, I'm feeling so honored!!! So, this is my very first post over on the http://tuesdaythrowdown.blogspot.in/ challenge blog. This week sponsor is Robyn's Fetish. My image is It's a Dragonfly Day and I tried to give it a new look!!! This week challenge theme is use Paints or Mists.

      I went for a bright card. And I was in a mood  to use watercolors. so I made a watercolor Misted background using Fevicryl acrylic color. I did wet on wet technique which is basically sprayed with water first, then added acrylic colour using Koi Brush and blend them until I was satisfied with the result. Love how the color blended!

 After that I embossed the watercolour paper using Embossing folder Spots from Itsy Bitsy.  Using Spellbinder Nestabilities Large Scalloped Octagons die cut , I added a OHP sheet to make it a shaker card and put some sequins and small beads.
                                                For Dragonfly, I colored it first and then added some colorful beads, pearls, stones, double shade ringlets, iron nails near the wings. And added extra wings using acetate sheet and gave it a 3D look.

 I printed my image two times and color the flowers with my promarkers. I paper pieced the flowers. I cut each and every petal of the flower and gave it a dimension for 3 D look too. Applied glossy accents(new in my stock) and black beads at the center of the flower and popped my image. Here is a closer look:

 I made a border using Jef punches and added colorul gemstones.

 Take a peep at the inside too:

                                    The sentiment is free and I watercolored it and added Sakura golden glaze, some sequins, rhinestones too.

Isn't it looking amazing? In my opinion this card doesn't need no other embellishments. So what do you think?
