CAS card and one more exciting news!

Hello, dear crafty friends!

Today with my first ever DT post for Peek-a-boo-Designs, so excited!!!!!

I am going to share a different style creation today!

CAS Madhubani style card

Steps:

-I started with a textured heavy white CS using dual stitched rounded rectangle die. I blended the centre area of my focal panel using tumbled glass, fossilized amber and twisted citron distress inks. Added some golden color splatters.

-Stamped the beautiful peacock with its matching elements from new Madhubani stamp set
in Archival Jet Black ink. Colored them using my Pigma watercolor brush pens with some Japanese brush pens too. Fussy cut them all. Added some textures using my golden gelly roll pen.

-Stamped the sentiment from new with love daisy stamp set, added light green color and highlighted it with golden gelly roll pen, fussy cut it.

More visible in close up pic:

-Adhered the focal panel on my card base using pop dots and created a little scene.

-Added few Swarovski crystals in different shapes and sizes. Tada the card was done!

Hope you all enjoyed this fun CAS creation!

Stand Tall

Hello friends!

I am back again with another beautiful tag- something I don't often make! And really love the results!
The new stamp sets are too cute with such pun sentiments, I just love them! Here what I created:

I started with a tag die using textured CS two times. Out of the one tag, I created a window. On the other tag, I created a sunset scene using zig watercolor brush markers. Love the textures after watercoloring background!

On a watercolor CS I stamped the flamingo image and a tiny flower in jet black archival ink, watercolored and fussy cut them. For showing the grass I used Pineapple image leaves:), applied light green shade to the leaves only and stamped it on the same textured sheet, fussy cut and watercolored them. Added some sequins.
Added a sentiment flag and finished it with some twine and bells in it!

Supply list:

Cardstocks: Fleece White Texture CS from Itsy Bitsy, watercolor CS
Stamp: Tropical Birthday from Itsy Bitsy
Dies: Framelits Tag die set from Itsy Bitsy
Shaker sprinkles Set: Emerald Dust from Itsy Bitsy
Jet black Archival ink
ZIG clean color real brush
Waterbrush pen
Pop dots from Itsy Bitsy
Double shade twine from Hobby Lobby

Hello Sunshine!

Hello friends!
Happy Wednesday!

Today I have a card to share with you all!

For starting the card, I die cut a double running stitched rectangle out of textured CS. All the images were stamped using ZIG brushes directly and watercolored,  fussy cut them. See the beautiful texture of white CS!

Stamped the Hello sunshine sentiment from the same set in Jet black ink and applied clear embossing powder on it. Heat embossed it, so shiny!
Then glued a dotted PP on the base card panel, added a dotted grass strip too and glued a printed vellum stripe along the dotted strip.
Now adhered the textured white sheet at the top using pop dots. Created the whole scene and added a double shade twine at the top! For more beauty added some tiny sequins and a golden glittered tape!

Have a great week and look out those cute pink flamingo!

Wall Decor Art Piece!

Hello, everyone!
Happy October!

This is a month of the festive season and Diwali is my most favorite festival, so there is no question about what I love to create with the Mixed Media projects!

You can surprise your guests and visitor this Diwali with your own handmade creation, no need to buy from the market now!

Today I want to show you my new MM project on coming festive occasion! And this month challenge is "Lights and Celebrations" at Rainbow Craftykari. This is my GDT post for them!

And here it goes.............!!!!!!

I converted a piece of plywood into a magical wall decor art. I coated it with Plaster of Paris with the textured look.

Gave a new life to Lord Ganesha.

Happy with the results using Fevicryl Pearl colors, Terracotta and Old gold Inka Gold!

Now time to create a background scene for Lord Ganesha.
Using air dry clay and a mould I made some embellishments to decorate and let it dry them for a full day.

Now given a coat of gesso to all of them. Don't worry about some cracks because they are very delicate, it will hide with some embellishments:) Fixed metal holders to hang the decor piece.

Applied lots of fevicol and sealant to paste them all.

Die cut lots of different flowers and leaves out of Iris paper, perfect for flower making.

Soak the flowers and leaves in the water bowl for a minute and inked them using distress inks.

Shaped them using golf groove tool and embossing pad as shown in the pic, perfect for textures and details.

Now time to create the background. Misted the piece with different color splashes. Firstly I started with turquoise color mist bottle at all 4 corners with the height of 4 or 4.5" gap. Then misted with midnight blue, not on the middle part because I wanted the Ganesha to highlighted in sunbursts color effect! Then misted with dirty pink near the pillars. After that misted with chalk ultramarine and golden canary. You will easily achieve the same results as shown in the pic.

Now rubbed all the white part using old gold and turquoise Inka gold to highlight the detailing work as shown in the pic. And applied a little bit at the surface and chippies too!

Here are some close-ups for the detailing work:

Rub some Inka gold on the metal charm OM word. Paste it on the tea holder and embellished it with some gemstones.

Now embellished the whole piece with my own handmade flowers and few rhinestones, gems. See the details in close-ups clearly!

And covered the backside with the corrugated sheet attached a heart-shaped border at the bottom.

Here is the finished project and ready to hang on the wall. I am really happy that this time I will decorate my Pooja place with my own wall decor piece!!! 😊

Isn't it gorgeous at all!!!

Hope you all enjoyed this project and try to make for yours one too to decorate your home this Diwali! Love to see what you come up with our new challenge here.

P.S.  In Top 3 at Papericious!!!

Rainbow tags with gold accents!

Hello to all!

Darnell from djkardkreations  hosted anotherNBUS Challenge #12, now time to participate!

And my NBUS (never before used stuff) is a die set which is four years old, glad to use it the first time here!!! And awesome die is new in my stash!

I am Mixed Media type person and making some CAS one / masculine one tough for me! But I am glad to see the results on it!

I combined the rainbow colors with a lot of white space and accent of gold. I think one of the tricks in card making is adding an element with unexpected colors and without any print!

And the sentiment is die cut out of golden washi tape which I adhered on a thin cardboard and die cut it. A golden glitter foam strip is also added and finished it with some golden threads and matching enamel hearts!
A simple card with volume and touch of gold accents!
Hope you all like it, don't you!!!!

Supply list:
Cardstocks: HeavyWhite, red, orange, violet, indigo, blue, orange, bright yellow, green cardstocks, golden glitter foam sheet, cardboard
Dies: Thin cuts Fancy Assorted par die from Itsy Bitsy; Awesome sentiment from Stamplorations
Tonic Studio trimmer
Washi tape, golden double shade thread, pop foam dots, Fevistick, Fevicol and some colored enamel hearts from my stash
