Think Happy Thoughts

Hello there!
Hope all are enjoying the weekend!
Its another week and this is the last challenge of this month at http://catchychallenges.blogspot.in/ ! And the theme is so amazing and fun "make your own background" which is hosted and sponsored by a very talented artist "Pallavi Iyer"!!! And here is my creation and my own fun background is based on embossing paste, embossing powders and my own stencil!

I made my own stencil using butterfly magic die and put it on my textured white card base and applied embossing paste and added silver pearl embossing powder on it, to give it more life and heat embossed it after 10 minutes to settled down! Isn't it looking gorgeous and I just love this shining and pearly background!

For the embellishment, I die cut the butterfly 3 times and heat embossed them with my wow embossing powders, I just love them. And for the pink metallic shade, I added two colors which is listed below.   I added some snippets of strip along the edge for more dimension and heat embossed both the strips to match the panel. On a snippet of vellum I stamped the sentiment and blend the raspberry distress ink lightly at the backside of vellum. I scattered some enamel dots on my card to make it more beautiful!
Hope you like it!

Supplies used:
White textured cardstock; snippet of vellum
Wow embossing powders: Silver pearl, primary fuchsia fusion, magenta twinkle, primary ebony
Heidi swapp- September skies stamp set
Distress ink: Picked Raspberry

Color burst with Butterflies!

Hello Friends!
Welcome back to my blog! Hope all of you enjoyed your weekend!
Its a new month with lots of celebration!!!! It means new challenge at CSCC. We have to use the Craft Shop Beautiful Banner as a theme, sponsored by a lovely Lady Priya Sivraj !!! I love to play with watercolors and I am inspired by color burst and butterflies!

Here is my DT post!
Tomorrow is a Friendship Day. So I made this beautiful card for one of my friend!
I took a scrap piece of watercolor paper. On a small piece of a tile, I spread different acrylic colors on it and sprinkled some water and press my watercolor paper on it and got this beautiful result!
Using  a stencil I applied  a thin layer of embossing paste on it and outlined the whole design with my Japanese brush pens for more dimension:).
Then I took a white CS for my card base and popped up it at the right side of my card. Then I added a colorful dots washi tape and a sequins ribbon! Recently  I won a candy from Janis http://herpeacefulgarden.blogspot.in/. She sent me this gorgeous butterfly die cut set as a bonus gift, Thank u so much Janis:) Happy to use it here! I stamped a banner with best friends sentiment and fussy cut it and popped it up too. And added few flower sequins on butterflies.
Hope you enjoyed this creation and like it!

Supplies used:
Camel Fabrica Acrylic watercolors
Bloom and butterflies stencil from Itsy Bitsy
Studio calico embossing paste
Japanese color pens
Washi tape; Purple colored Sequins ribbon

Pretty girl-just saying hello

Good Evening All!
As you all know "no line coloring" is very popular these days and I gave this technique a try for the first time and I am very happy with the result! So here is my DT post for CSCC #16 - No Line Coloring. Here is the LINK

For my card I have created a bright summer scene. I just love this cute image from penny black. This girly stamp is featured beautifully! I stamped the image on watercolor CS in Tattered rose Distress ink and water colored her  along with her cute little kittie friend , both saying hello! For more dimension I slightly shadow colored the image around her using chalk inks and created a ground level.
For the card base I chose very light cream color and paired it with a beautiful floral paper. I adhered two additional layers of navy blue CS to the base of my card using Crafty Foam Tape (I love giving my cards dimension).
Then I cut my image using a floral die. I die cut the frame and then emboss. Whilst the cardstock was still in the die  I inked the raised elements using dye inks with my watercolor brush.
I also cut a ‘hello’ sentiment 6 times for dimension and 2 times in blue CS and adhered some blue pieces in the spaces between the phrase
I adhered two tags using same floral die set for the message and tuck it with a tiny cloth pin which I WOW embossed  , isn't it looking cute!
Then I embellished it with a flower rhinestone and a tiny butterfly with a pearl!
Here is the inside view: I created the inside with all the leftover scraps!

Hope you like it and enjoyed my no line water coloring!

Peek-a-boo Birthday!

Good Afternoon all!
It’s my last post as a DT for http://stampedblessings.com/. I want to thank Christina for the wonderful opportunity to design and create with the adorable stamp kits! I am featuring the cutest little bear.
I have created a little scene using stitched circle die! The little teddy is playing peek-a-boo in the tree house and is holding a lovely balloon to wish a very Happy Birthday!! The papers that I used are also from amuse studio with happy die cut. I stamped the sentiment using black archival ink. I stamped the cute little bear three times and slightly colored it using iced Spruce Distress marker. Added glossy accents on them and fussy cut, popped it with foam dots.  And finished my card with a cute button and twine bow.
Supplies used:
amuse studio supplies: I’m Here stamp set (retired), Contempary Greetings stamp set (retired), Cherry Woodgrain cardstock, Happy die, Large Scalloped border die
Waffle flower floral stitched die

Vellum and Daisy flowers

Hello Friends!
Happy Monday!
This is my DT post for http://stampedblessings.com/ and there theme is to use 'vellum'.  When I saw the oval shaped solid stamp from amuse studio, I got a fun idea to create a daisy flower using this stamp! And here is my creation!
I slightly pressed the two shades of distress inks on the stamp and misted it with water and stamped it on a snippet of watercolor paper and created this beautiful daisy flower and fussy cut it out! Isn't it looking cool and pretty!

After that I have created a BG using Mod background stamp on my white card base and added a strip of Cherry petite polka dot strip. Then I laid a snippet of vellum sheet over it to soften my BG. Then I adhered three more thin stripes of vellum sheets at the center, and stamped the sentiment and heat embossed it. Then popped up my daisy flowers and some vellum leaves with few sequins.
Hope you enjoyed this cool creation!

Supplies used:
White CS, vellum sheet
Amuse studio stamps-Mod Backgrounds stamp set, Ovals stamp set (retired), Contemporary Greetings stamp set (retired), Cherry Petite Polka dot CS.
Jef leaf punch
Distress inks-peacock feather, mawed lawn, picked raspberry, dried marigold, scattered straw
Wow embossing powder ebony

Love U Dad

Hello!
Happy Tuesday!
This is my DT post for http://stampedblessings.com/ and this week theme is Father's Day!!! And here is my first Masculine creation!!!
This time I chose a Kraft CS for my base. On a watercolor paper, I have created a very cool water color technique. I took my Black soot and white linen Distress markers  and created circle swatches of ink(using brush tip) ...covering the entire piece of Watercolor Paper. Then i used a large solid circle and water spritzer.
Next, mist the solid circle with plain water and 'stamp' onto the watercolor paper that I colored.  Keep misting/spritzing and stamping all over the paper until you get the paper pretty....definitely not damp, but not soaking and dripping in water, either.  You will see the colors start to fade into each other. And let it be dry properly. Isn't it cool different Bokeh Technique!
Then I stamped the sentiment using second generation stamping method as I wanted a little faded look. I adhered a window panel and my watercolor piece on my Kraft CS base and added a scalloped border.
On another snippet of watercolor paper I stamped the trophy in black pigment ink and embossed it with clear gloss 4 times for shine and gloss! And matted it on my beaded circle nesting die cut. And finished it off with a washi tape, few sequins, silver colored number 1 die cut on a trophy and a tiny heart and a twine!
Isn't it cool creation for Father's Day!
Have a wonderful day!
