SummerCoffeeLoversBH_Sponsors (3)

Here is my creation with summer theme.....
I am a tea lover and my morning starts with a cup of Indian Masala tea:)  So, I made this very special card for a tea lover just like me!
I chose a floral PP and  did  third generation stamping in red colour for wood panel look. Then  I cut it into four panels and distressed  the edges. And adhered all the panels on a snippet of green colored wooden paper and then brown CS base. Then I added doilies and  die cut stripes. At the focal point I adhered a vellum gift holder and sprayed some golden splatters very lightly. I stamped the tea cup and a little tea bag on a watercolor sheet, colored with distress inks, Added some glossy accents and few sequins on a cup for more shine. I attached the cup with a green paper clip using pop dot. The sentiment was stamped in Black Archival ink.

I made my own hand made Gerbera flowers using octagon die cuts, distressed them and coated a thin layer of  PVC glue mixed with diamond dust powder in water to stiffen them and give them some shine. To complete them I added brads for that elegant look!
I added a golden colored thread under the flowers and embellished with a beautiful butterfly sticker ! To top it off I put a Enjoy Sentiment sticker.
Now for the gift holder part -  I put a tea bag in the holder with a cute little spoon for a nice cup of tea to be enjoyed while sitting in their garden while looking at my card! Hehehe !!!
Hope you enjoyed this card as much as I did making it !

Rainbow clouds!

Hello Friends!
Its good to be back! For a month I have been facing problems with my internet connection. Still it is not working properly but I had to share my newest creation with you all lovely people and I did despite slow connection !!
So here is my DT creation for Catchy Challenges! The theme is inspired by the picture given below:
And here is my interpretation on this theme:

To start, I took a watercolor white cardstock panel and inked it up with four different distress ink colors in rainbow order . I cut a vellum panel (same size as the cardstock panel) and  I adhered the vellum over the top of the inked panel and just look at how the vellum really softens those ink colors!
Then I diecut a tag and using my cloud stencil and background image using same distress inks to make the cute little clouds! Then added some raindrops and applied glossy accent for a real look! The sentiment is embossed on a snippet of vellum and I adhered an umbrella sticker on it! Isn't it a cute creation to make anyone smile.......
And I added few Sparkling Clear sequins for raindrops and a grey colored twine from Tim Holtz.
I hope u like my creation!
Supplies used:
Kraft CS and water color CS
Distress inks-Picked raspberry, dried marigold, mustard seed and tumbled glass
Nellie's Tags4 and Scalloped Border from WPlus9
Raindrops and sentiment from a-muse studio, Prima marketing item no-575854
Cloud stencil from Memory box
Pattern Paper from Recollections

Mixed Media Scenic Beauty on Canvas

Hello Everyone!
Hope all you are enjoying the weekend!
Due to some technical problem created in my network connections, I am posted this from somewhere else and feeling so sad:(
This is my DT post for Create Something Catchy Challenges and this month theme is very trendy-Mixed Media!  And I have created Mixed Media Scenic Beauty on Canvas first time !!!

I started by layered some pattern paper from Echo park and covered it with a light wash of gesso. After that I divided the canvas panel  into an equal parts and applied some white and pink color acrylic paint.
At the focal point I laid down my Eiffel Tower Book print paper using Mod podge and then using texture paste through the stencil and covered the paste with Diamond dust while it was still wet.   And then attack my panel with sprays and keep the texture paste white some places until I got the look that I liked!

I made my own embellishments to decorate it. Firstly I have made a Resin Border at the top with Milky glue using mold and applied different alcohol inks on it and pasted it. The letters are made from clear glue stick and coated with silver and metallic alcohol ink to give it that metallic look.

I stamped a tiny Time clock and coated it with glossy accents and adjust all these things in the panel. On a doily I stenciled a Number one on it because it is a number 1 destination dream place for me!!!

I worked with some fabulous wood flourishes from Kaisercraft that I could build a scene with! For the Twin lamp post, I applied gesso first and then distressed the edges with Black Soot Distress ink. The script stamp is from the Urban Grunge stamp set to give it some texture. Same procedure done for the gate too.

The flowers were cut with Die-namics roses die and some are foam flowers and one is a black color fabric flower which is also handmade to give it a springy look.
Then I stamped a Eiffel tower stamp on a tag, water colored it and coated it with ton of clear embossing powder and it looks like a Epoxy sticker in real!

Then I stamped the musical heart with archival black ink to show my love.  The word love is also a wooden embellishment and embossed with red embossing powder and glossy accent it. And what is a beauty of Paris without jewel, so I embellished it with some micro stone diamond jewels!!!
At the end I sprayed  with some silver Perfect Pearls in the spritzer which gives it a lovely shimmer!

And finally a full front view of the canvas design.  I hope I've inspired you to give a mixed media canvas a try!
I hope you enjoyed my project and techniques on how to make beautiful embellishment with these fabulous Kaisercraft wooden Flourishes; resin border, epoxy tag and they add so much dimension to any project that you may make. You can even used them completely as it is for a more earthy, natural look. xo

Rainbow Bloosom Card with Iron Off Embossing Technique!

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!
I've had so much fun of water coloring! I have found my own way of watercolouring and I'm really having fun! :)  As I'm getting more comfortable with this medium, I'm experimenting and learning lots along the way.  This one is done with clear gloss embossing powder with Iron Off Embossing technique, Distress Inks and I love the vibrant colors.
I started with a snippet of water colored CS and by using splatter stencil I watermarked it and heat embossed it with clear gloss. By using a variety of distress inks directly for a rainbow effect and misted it with water and dry it completely. I lightly iron this CS from backside on an another snippet of water colored CS. Here you can see the another piece with reverse image of stenciling, embossing and water coloring effect.........

As usual I saw this die (new in my stash) and fell in love, Its called Vespertine blossoms from Memory Box. I cut it in snippet of black CS and has ton of clear gloss to create more texture and shine! here is close up:
I stamped and heat embossed that lovely quote on a snippet of vellum and layered those shiny blossoms on the water colored panel to soften my background. Than matted it on a black CS. Few sequins were added to dress it up a bit!

Hope you enjoyed my latest creation!
Supplies used:

Memory Box Vespertine Blossoms die, Splatter stencil
Rectangle die cut from Spellbinders -Diagonal chevron
Fiskars All round Quotes
Clear embossing pad; Wow embossing powders-Clear gloss ultra high and Primary ibony super fine
Distress inks-Picked raspberry, dried marigold, squeezed lemonade, tumbled glass, mowed lawn, seedless preserve

SMILE

Hello everyone!
Hope you are enjoying your crafting!
Did you miss me! I needed the break as I was not feeling well for few days back, but I am fresh now:).
My first sweet and lovely blog friend  Monika from http://creativewithmonika.blogspot.in/ is celebrating her Birthday Linky Party!!!!!!!!! She has invited us to CASE one of her cards and her party continues till the end of April. She has chosen some of her favorites cards and I have tried to CASE one of her stunning creation!

I created a cute and fun card with combining of several techniques which are her favorite ones- stenciling, embossing and she is master in to create her own backgrounds:))))

First, I stamped this cute and smiling Alligator on a  snippet of vellum and for a subtle look I heat embossed it in Wow Earthtone mint regular. Then I colored it with distress markers.
For creating the water waves I have stenciled the waves using embossing paste and before dried I added Opaque Primary Azure embossing powder on it and heat embossed it!
Then I created a window in the center of my card. And used this snippet piece in inside panel and sponged it and then laid the waved panel on it. Then for adding more interest, I added one more scalloped frame on that vellum! I used the cloud stencil and sponged it to create a sky background. At the bottom panel I added a splash border for more fun!
I have used a new sentiment stamp by Fiskars for the SMILE sentiment(love the font style)
A close up look; I added some glossy accents for shinning eyes!
I hope you enjoyed the card. Thank You for the opportunity to celebrate your month long Birthday Sweet Monika! May god filled the joy in every field in your lovely life!
Have a wonderful day!

Altered Shabby Chic Bird House

Hello everyone!
Happy Sunday to you all!
Today I am sharing an altered bird house which I have created first time:) as an DT post for Catchy Challenges and the theme is anything goes!
First of all you can take any size of recycle box.
I cut off the one side part of it as shown in the picture.
Then I took a wedding invitation card, I have a lot of scraps in my stash. Measure according to your box width and height and then same measure it again from the top. Now for the hut shape I measured 2'' panel from the top and created a middle point and draw a triangle shape and for the flap I measured 0.7" and cut it now.
  Now paste both the panels.

Traced this house template on the PP. Covered it with patterned paper from each and every side as shown in the picture. I cut a through a circle at one side to create a window for the bird. I love these  papers and it coordinated so well.
I made a flap as the part of roof for the bird house. I cant really give precise measurements as it depends on the size of your box.

Now the fun part begin. Decorate your bird house. I decorated with some laces, pearled wire, leaf borders(distressed them), jute lace, borders, handmade flowers and some are from my stash. I distressed the circle edge and some of my rose flowers too.
This beautiful altered birdhouse would be a lovely décor item in any house. Use it to decorate your desk, use it as a special pencil holder, or just give it away as a piece of art.
 This is the front side.
To open the box I added a flower, lace, pink colored satin ribbon.

I made my own nest out of packaging material and gesso it to create some interest.
 Another view:

 Here is the inside:
There is a birthday tag as my daughters birthday in this week, so I gifted it to my daughter:). Hope she will like it! As she is not at home, went for further studies at Chennai. Don’t you think this would make just the sweetest handmade gift?  I absolutely adore it!
So guys, I hope you really enjoyed the tutorial!
I hope you all have a fantastic day and thanks so much for stopping by!
