Shagun envelope!

Hello to all!

Happy Thursday!

Now festive days are ahead soon in the coming months in India. So I wanted to make some Shagun envelopes myself. I created this bright shagun envelope with all pink and red flowers.

Created this front panel of shagun envelope made with a Metallic golden sheet and added a golden lace to it.

This is the opening with a tassel to put the money into it.

I die cut some flowers, applied distress inks to them.

Now shaped them as shown in the below pic.

Die-cut an Indian greeting with a cute intricate elephant and added all these elements to my bright pink base sheet with gold print on it.

Some close-ups.

So this is the final result at the end!
Hope you like it!

  6. Vinita this card/envelope looks amazing!!!
Love the bright pink colour combined with the gold - this looks so elegant! Also love this elephant die!
You've done a great job with putting all these dimensional flowers together.

Is Shagun a special festival? Or is it just a name for the money gift you can put in the envelope?
I tried to find information about it, but I failed...
Sorry for my nosy questions, but I'm always fascinated from other cultures and traditions! :-)

Thanks for sharing this special piece of Artwork with us in the Uniko Challenge.
