Hello summer!

Hello everyone!
Happy Wednesday!

Today I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and try for the messy watercolor look with the flower stamp. And it was fun!
How appropriate for summer, Am I right?
It's a clean approach with lots of white space!
My card consists of Hello coffee stamp set and ZIG clean color markers.

Firstly I die cut a white sheet using a doublerunning stitched rectangle. I inked my flower stamp with different Zig markers, misted it with water and stamped the image at the top corner using my Misti, so cool result. I slightly watercolored it.

And once again I stamped these flowers with same inks for a more good result using Misti.
As my image is already inked, I spritz some water on my image and now at the other bottom corner, I once again stamped the image, voila! This is called second generation stamping.

Now stamped my coffee cup on a piece of white paper, watercolored it and fussy cut it. Die-cut a cute tiny parrot image.

Because I used Zig markers I freely added little water outside my image and gave it a washed look.
The sentiment is from the same set and mounted my cup and cute parrot using foam dots.
Then added a bunch of splatters with few crystals.
I hope you enjoyed it a lot!

  2. I don't think I've tried using the Zig to color stamps directly. I should give this a try. Thank you for visiting my blog and your nice comment. That is very kind. Stay safe always!

  10. I haven't done any messy watercolouring for ages but you've inspired me to do some this afternoon!! Its quite a 'freeing' experience to stop controlling the paint, and I think its a brilliant idea for our challenge. Your colours are so vibrant, especially against all that white. And the addition of the cup and bird 'popped up' adds some interest and dimension. Stunning card, so happy to see you at TIME OUT!
