Tropical Theme DIY decor!

 I am on Itsy Bitsy blog with my DT inspiration!

This time I decided to make a coaster using paint pouring on a mini canvas. I'm obsessed with paint pouring and could spend too much time on it! This technique is very versatile and the different creations are so mesmerizing and you can gift them as well.

Trying this for coasters is also the perfect way to paint pouring since it's on a smaller scale and easier to manage especially for beginners. I always like to create stuff that has a purpose.

Firstly I mixed up my paints in cups. Here I used pineapple crush, cherry tomato, pearl white with pouring medium into 1:1 ratio.

On my mini canvas, first I spread pearl white all around the coaster and in the middle spread pineapple crush and cherry tomato and let the magic begin. I spread the color with my palette knife. Let it dry in a level space. I am surprised that it settled within 2 hours!

In the meantime, I stamped some tropical images from Tropical Birthday stamp set on a fleece white sheet and watercolored them. Then I fussy cut all the images.

Added these images in a bottom corner with some handmade flowers.

 Now at the bottom, I added a layer of Mixed media stones for more texture. 

I applied some sparkle paste too. Let it dry for some time.

I sprinkled some fairy dust all over the canvas. Applied a thick coat of clear resin with a hardener in the equal ratio. Let it dry.

You can add a piece of felt to the bottom of the coaster to give it finish.

This cute coaster is sure to add a tropical feel to your home.
