Hello everyone!
Happy Friday!
Once again I am back with another rainbow color theme project but this time with pastel shades.
Firstly, I created a colorul watercolor background in summery colors. Using my Distress markers, I spread all the colors on my craft mat and spritz with water (shown in the pic) and pressed my white sheet on it for the rainbow patch.
Then I used my butterfly die using the "Camouflaging die cut technique" directly from that watercolored BG.
To add dimension, I die cut the same butterfly die 5 times out of black scraps and made a stack as shown in the pic. Glued the colored one at the top.
I remained the die cut pieces as it is.
I placed my watercolored panel to a black panel and then a white card base. The pop of black really showcased the rainbow colors so well with a butterfly.
To finish it off, I added some colorful splatters, sequins and placed my butterfly with a tail using a twine under the labelled sentiment.
Love this super simple technique with a cheerful card and a great way to get the die cuts on the focal point!
Hoping you enjoyed this technique!

ReplyDeleteHello Vinita,
ReplyDeleteI love your card. But it is'nt a CAS card. Clean and simple. If you used only the butterfly and the card leaving white, than it was a beautiful CAS.
Your card is beautiful but cannot join the challenge.
Hugs, Monique
