Hello there!
Good Morning!
I tried to make a CAS card this time, they really attract me, but difficult to make without embellishment too:)Lol. And I am very much inspired by Stamploration Design Team creations! And their challenge is "Stamps & Embossing".
Here is my creation using one stamp set from Itsy Bitsy.
I began with a shaped card and extended my die cut, I want the larger size for it. Cut out the front panel for this card using Sizzix Framelits dies labels and stitched frames.
Embossed the front piece in Darice woodgrain folder. I used a yellow colored CS and cut it into two pieces in a banner shape as shown in the pic and popped them with foam dots.
Using an oval die, I cut out an oval window and sponged it with chalk colors from Srappin Gear Pink shades set. Then stamped a butterfly and a small rose in Archival jet black ink. Then I watercolored them using white pearly water, you can see the shimmer. Then out came the paintbrush for a bit of splattering. And applied the stamped oval using 3d foam. Then an another banner was attached with a sentiment on it. Finished off the card with some leaves and pearl gems.
Happy with the result! Hope you like it:)
Other supplies used: All supplies used from Itsy Bitsy store.
White Textured CS
Watercolor cakes from Milan
Banner die from Sizzix Thinlits dies banner& borders
Leaves are from Coture creation-Intricutz Dies Cortazar

ReplyDeleteHi Vanita, just saw your very lovely card over at the Snippets Playground and came by to get a closer look and say how much I liked it. Loved the card shape, and the wood grain embossing on the pretty die shape. That butterfly panel is gorgeous and it's such a bright & cheery card. Just became your newest follower, but I had to manually add your link into my reading list, as blogger wouldn't let me join the usual way. I see my picture in your list, so guess it worked ok. Hope you'll find time to visit me occasionally, as the best part of blogging is making new friends. Hope to see you at the Snippets Playground often. (although I've been MIA of late!) TFS
