Hello Folks, how are you!
On Sunday, It was a great opening of another ITSY Bitsy store in Delhi. And I enjoyed shopping on that day with lots of new goodies to add in my stash. I don't have any big flower image , So I purchased some new flower stamp sets:)
Here in Delhi, its raining today at:). The weather is humid. And I am enjoying crafting at this moment with a cup of tea.
So a card for CASE STUDY and some more challenges. My card is based on the very talented Debby Hughes Muses! Her card is amazing! love the softness on vellum and colors!!!
Here is my card:
Firstly, I heat embossed my images on water colored sheet with Wow Opaque Bright White embossing powder and I heat embossed the leaves in Silver Bells. Then I wet the image properly and played with watercolors. After watercoloring I again stamped on the leaves by masking for some impression using Hero Arts Flowers and Butterfly set using my new Fern Green Archival ink. I wanted some soft and faded look at the background so I used color wash technique.
I choose a mint colored textured CS to adhered my watercolor sheet and then matted on a white CS. To match the background, I have so many colored vellum sheets and choose a mint colored vellum sheet and cut it in a flag shaped banner. And die cut the Friends phrase on a silver metallic sheet and glued it with glossy accents on the vellum. At the back side of vellum I used adhesive foam tape behind the letters. I added few silver metallic sequins, platinum pearl liquid dots from ranger and a Tim Holtz fern colored jute string for some interest:)
Here is the inside:
I used a leftover piece and stamped the sentiment in fern green archival ink.
I hope you like it!
Other Supplies used:
Corner punch
Watercolor cakes from Milan
Flower set from Itsy Bitsy
New Friends Phrase Die from Sizzix
I am entering my card into following challenges:
