Love Notes

Happy Tuesday to all!
I hope it's the start of a great week for you and your loved ones :-) Today I would like to share the Valentine card … perfect for spreading a little love for someone.

I cut a white textured CS and covered it at the bottom panel with some patterned paper from the Doodlebug -Kraft in color Double sided Paper pad.
I used a snippet of white cardstock panel leftover from some creation and using my own heart stencil, I ran it through my Big Shot to emboss the pattern into it before layering it on the top of my panel on an angle.
Tip on embossing with a stencil…
This is very easy! Simply use the same embossing “sandwich” that you use for a texture plate. In the case of the Big Shot, use tab #1, followed by a clear plate (cutting pad), your paper, rubber embossing mat and  the stencil.

The cute cupid is from WRMemory Keepers-Love Struck stamp set. I masked it and colored it using Tattered rose, Picked Raspberry, festive berries, gathered twigs Distress inks.  I just love working with distress inks and how they interact so well with water. I used diamond stickles to its wing and added glossy accents to his eyes and heart arrow and fussy cut it.
The Stitched vellum clouds are from the Spellbinders Die-D-Lites "Conversation Bubble Four".   I stamped the sentiment from the same set and heat embossed it 3 times with Wow Opaque bright white powder and for more dimension I highlighted it with Diamond stickles.
That awesome little lovenote paper print goes perfectly with the DSP and I colored the heart using Picked raspberry Distress ink.
Finally, I tied heart buttons along with Raspberry Baker’s Twine (from The Paper Studio) around the bottom portion of the embossed panel before adhering it into my main panel to finish it all off and a cute enamel heart!
I just love the look of this card….clean but with a sense of fun, with all the sparkle and shimmer…  I hope you’ve enjoyed!
Happy Creating!

Watercoloring flowers

Hello!
I am back with a different watercoloring technique.
WHW 152: I am very much inspired by a technique challenge at Inspired By Stamping. Here is my creation:
After seeing the stamping demonstrations from very talented Joanna M. a couple days ago, I was inspired to try the watercoloring technique she demonstrated in the video. Thank you so much for sharing!
I stamped the flowers on watercolor paper and used some distress markers and water brushes to blend the colors. It's different from my other watercolor attempts so far. Here is the stamp set I choose for stamping.
I stamped the flower centers first and heat embossed it. Then by masking it,  I stamped the large petals, making sure to overlap them and meet around the flower center. Then heat embossed them.
In the background  I added distress inks in Gathered twigs to create a marbled effect. Once dry I dripped water onto it just because I love those bleached out patches. Then I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed it. A few hearts were also stamped and added glossy accents on it for dimension. And finished it off by adding a organza dotted brown ribbon on it!

I am entering this card in the BGC#65 - Mood board + Stamping. I found their moodboard very inspiring. I love those chocolate brown hearts and bunch of flowers in vase.
Hope you like it!
    Have a colorful day!

A day of Dlight

Hi all!!
I'm back with a very different creation and learned a new simple foiling technique by super talented Jennifer Mcguire!! I adore her works :)
This layout is from CAS(E) this sketch! (CTS109) and I like how it turned out!

I started with stamping the different borders in the shades of blue, pink, red  and orange on a piece of white CS. Then placed some foil adhesive sheet in between the borders.
I cut a panel of white card on which I created a distress watercolor wash technique in valentine colors and stamped a sentiment. Added a butterfly out of this border scrap with a vellum for a soft look.  I adhered this to some raspberry pink card and then attached it to the foil sheet and then on the white card base. I finished it off with few half pearls and water droplets.
Hope you like it!

Valentine Shaker Card

Hello everyone!!
I am very excited to share my first design team (DT) project at Create Something Catchy Challenge Blog on the theme 'LOVE SHAKE'r Cards!  Yipee!

This Valentine's Day card is just exploding with love!
I used Nellie's multi frame's MF D 022 die to cut out the window for the shaker. Next I linked my two die cut hearts and filled them with some shaker goodness. The backing sheet is a silver color glittered sheet. I placed a textured pink colored felt sheet on another piece of red CS for more texture and depth. The lovely papers are from Confetties papers(Jags) and I used some soft pink glittered washi tape.

I put the enamel heart inside the shaker portion of the card and then filled it with sequins and micro beads. The sentiment is stamped in bubblegum from Kaisercraft clear stamp-Calendar.

Here is the inside view:  I embossed the Happy Valentine's day and highlighted it.
Hope you liked my shaker creation!
Thank you for stopping by and sharing in my excitement...your visits and comments are SO very much appreciated!!!
