I'll keep the light on for you

Hi everyone!
I had so much fun making today's card.  I combined some of my pattern paper, Label shaped dies, stencil, birds and flower! And my card is based on Inspired By Stamping Sketch IBSIC #90 .

My background was created with an embossing folder which I then stenciling over for sunrays with homemade embossing paste. I tried to create the ombre effect for lighting and before drying, added diamond dust on it for shinning and heat dry it! I distressed the edges before adhering it on my card base.
The Birds are so sweet  and I created them in yellow to match the sun so it is the main focal point of my scene. I started by popping up the background layer on the card base with adhesive foams to add dimension and interest to the all white background.  The popped up stitched frame adds color and another level of dimension to showcase the images. I cut the bird die in green and then cut the birds again in yellow, cut them off and attached them over the green. I love all the bright and happy colors. I attached a banner with a message on it with lots of masking. Highlighted the word "Light" and the background has a wash look. Then I attached a yellow twine and a mulberry flower( which I won in a candy) with few pollens and green colored micro beads. I fairly tried to keep it CAS too.

You're Someone Special

 Hi everyone!
This month Uniko Studios  is sponsoring  TIME OUT Challenges!
I just love this brilliant Inspirational photo and had to play! I am very much inspired with their talented Designer Team creations!
Say Hello: Perk up your home with a friendly welcome sign. For an added boost, choose a bright, funky color. Source: Instagram user decorame
I  love each and every element in this photo. I am so much inspired by the colors, so pretty, the woodwall back panel with Big & Bold Hello and specially that comfortable couch with beautiful cushions too.
 Here comes my take:
As you can see - I get very literal when using an inspiration picture!
I drew the couch on a textured pattern paper, as I didn't have any couch stamp and fussy cut it. Added the pillows to the couch using different felt colors and tried to create some textures on it according to the photos. I gave them depth and dimension using pop dots.

I used the Weaving Embossing Folder to create the look of the woodwall back panel in the background.  And before embossing I distressed it with vintage photo and adhered it flat. I went with the bold and bright hello against the wood panel. And this was the perfect chance to use my newest 'hello' die !  I die cut the word three times from a snippet of red CS and stacked it.
And ended it with few sequins!
Here's the inside  view:

I just love how this one turned out!

CASE-ing Christmas Card Challenge #2

Hello everybody!
Welcome to my new followers!
I am casing a Christmas card by a talented designer Pat.
Here it is...

Card by DT member Pat.
I am inspired by the metallic and shinning look of flower, embossing, layering and a fish tail banner. And here is my creation:

My card base panel is a white CS. Then I used a snippet of pink mirri sheet. I embossed my main panel. Recently I won 2 embossing folders in a challenge( A huge Thanks to Di). I embossed the baubles only out of the snippets of metal sheets using the same embossing folder again. Then I applied nail polish remover on the raised parts only using a ear bud' fussy cut it and got this look, Easy peasy! I learnt this great technique by Monica Cruz-Weaver on Add A Little Dazzle . Then adhered it onto the place of baubles. I mist with perfect pearls for shimmer. I die cut a banner, stamped the sentiment. I added a silver cord before adhering the banner at the top. Embellished with few rhinestones and added a big gem on the bow to finished it off.
A closer look:
I hope you like this creation!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Come back again soon.

Rememember the Old Year and Happy for New Year

Hi, I'm back again today with another card. I stored lots of new crafty goodies in my stash:)
Lot's of textures with a vintage vibe going on...
It’s a new year, I’d like to kick things off celebrating both old and new.

I wanted to use butterflies and light spring colors.  This is what I came up with.
I'm a big fan of vintage and shabby papercraft (although I do have a streak of CAS in me as well!) I love textures, muted colors, and an old fashioned feel. I'm happiest creating pieces that are based on just that...such as today's design. Loved to incorporate so many beautiful Stamps on one page with lots of layering. I used Tim Holtz Wallflower paper collection( Thanks to KEVIN for this awesome PP stack won in candy) for the base and inside of the card. And a musical notes and some scripted paper is also used for the LO. Then I started layering some snippets scraps I had lying around on my desk - a doily die cut , chipboard, butterfly out of burlap piece, a musical note.
I then used the Spellbinder cuckoo clock die and cut the shape from a chipboard for the thickness and another die piece added on it from a snippet of khaki brown paper and created a border around the clock.

Side view:
I started out with the idea of wanting to rip paper and roll it back.  I cut the slit of the tag for this which already in this beautiful paper.
I added  grunge effect at the top with adding embossing paste using the stamp. There is a lace border stamped at the right side in cool grey color using gelato on my lace stamp.
A close-up of the flower cluster on the layout filled with beautiful Prima rose flowers
I gathered some bits together and placed them on my paper getting the design and layout sorted and then I set about staining the large lily flowers and inking everything, adding golden glitter on it. Those Lily flowers started off as white would you believe? I made spring flowers with Spellbinders Die D-Lites Create-a-Lily dies.

A blender tool and vintage photo ink ages the edges of almost every element on this card. Adding just a few metal pieces with some transparent yellow crystal flowers, cream color satin ribbon bows, pollens, blings and some lace finishes off the front of the card with room inside to write a personal message to the recipient in the tag.
Here is the new year massage with inside view:

I love the vintage feel to it and the simplicity of putting it together. This my first vintage and shabby creation, Hope you like it:)

Let's Party to celebrate New Year!

Hello Everyone!
Wishing All Of You and Your Family A Happy, Healthy & Prosperous New Year 2015 filled with joy and peace! I love all my blog followers and thank you all to leave so many inspirational words on my work.
Before I get onto my card I have some exciting news to share with you..............  I'm on the CSCC- Create Something Catchy Challenges blog  2015 Design Team from Feb!! How exciting is that!Yayyyyy!!!. Happy !!!!

I have the sweetest card to share today!! I am using my New Heart Balloons image and the new   "Let's Party" die.
I got  the idea for this card from the amazingly talented Laura Bassen using technique Camouflaging Die Cuts , You can check out the video tutorial here  This is a single layer card.

I stamped the image in barn door firstly on the textured white card and then on another white snippet sheets(which was leftover from my last make) two times, fussy cut them and added glossy accents to the solid ones. I used some foam adhesive to help my balloons  take flight.   Then  I masked off the bottom panel and blended in Barn Door ink to make a little ombre effect.

Then I  have to make several die-cuts of let's Party Sentiment (I cut at least six times and one from the ombre effect)and glued them together as shown in the video. The result is great  -I love it!
You can se the texture, depth and dimension on it.
A few sequins added, and boom!  Complete!
So what do you think? I think it's lovely :)

Supplies used:
Stamp from Itsy Bitsy Sweet Baby Stamp set
Distress Ink-Barn door, blending tool
Sizzix Let's Party die
Glossy accent from Ranger
