Love 'n' peace

Hello Crafters!

It's a CAS card and 2nd attempt in this field. I am representing my country by using my flag colours. I am very much inspired with DT's team Challenge #60 Anything Goes Optional Twist - Use your country's colors at 613 Avenue Create.

For this card I used a masking technique to represent the flag colours. India's Flag has a horizontal design which contains 3 colours - saffron at the top, white in the middle and green at the bottom. A navy blue wheel in the centre representing 'chakra'. I embossed the bottom half of the white ivory CS using a textured impressions folder- Bohemain Botanicals set from Sizzix. At the left corner at the top of the card I stamped doves having a olive branch and giving a message of "Love 'n' peace"which is hand written on a silver foil using Mungyo blue paint marker. I used a sky blue pastel colour chalk around the doves to give them elegant and soft look.

Then I wrapped my card with a navy blue satin ribbon. Then I used my butterfly die cut from sizzix hero arts as an stencil and fussy cut it using a piece of navy blue felt. And first time I am using vellum! I stamped the butterfly image on the vellum using versamark embossing clear stamp pad and heat embossed it using Wow Nice ice blue glitter powder. And see the happy result!!! Then I finished it off using a turquoise gem and some navy blue sequences at the centre of the chakra which reflect it very well:).

Evergreen

Hello crafter friends!
                                 I haven't much time over the last few days but now I am back again!
    The weather is warming up in the afternoon and spring is on the way........now onto my today's card which is aiming for a very special person, I wanted to make a just big pocket to hold few chocolates in it and this is what I came up with!
      I created a fill'er up pocket holder with shaker too :D, window design featuring Tilda and flowers and with an interesting front panel gate fold to hide the secret things in the holder!!!

For my card base I used pastel light green CS and decorated it with DCWV pattern papers. I hand stitched around the frame. I cut the window using Spellbinder nestabilities Frames and decorated it with pearls and rhinestones. The background paper which is popping from the window is made by using food colours and sprayed with mini spritzer:).

Now onto my front gate panel: I cut two pieces of light green CS and layered it with another bottle green CS. Then I used a vintage border stamp from WRMemory Keepers and heat embossed it with Wow golden glitter. I stamped the Magnolia Tilda image onto a white CS and coloured it with promarkers and added some shine to her hair and her clothes using Sakura glitter pens. Then I fussy cut it and pop her up on a die cut swirl on a left gate panel . And on the right panel I placed a peach coloured three layered flower which is handmade using Spellbinder Octagon nestabilities dies. I cut each and every slit of the octagon edges and again sprayed food colour on it. Then I applied gesso on it with diamond glitter dust to give it a shiny look.

I always try to do something new , so I used an old plastic box . I also went a little crazy with the empty space, I filled green beads and placed a piece of an acetate sheet on it to make it a shaker. On the other space I applied a sentiment sticker and hearts from OAK arts. I finished off my card with some embellishments -buttons, pearls, another handmade green coloured flower, Butterfly and a swirl.

You are my cupcake candy holder

An Exciting News!!! My first ever prize has arrived today. I am so happy and thrilled to see the mail:)). This was a sponsor "Times Flies" stamp from Sheena Douglass. Thanks for her generosity and all the DT members of "Craft All Day" to pick up my cards on Handmade Flowers challenge.

Now onto my project. There was a theme given at Beyond Grey Challenges to create a card with something sweet on it + at least three colours from this palette:

Here is my take on the card. Summers are really nice. Everyone loves to eat ice-creams, cupcakes, sweet candies etc. So, I have designed a 3 D cupcake card which has a slider greeting attached with a candy.......cute I think! If you pull the candy a message appears......I really like the finished project with inside too!!!

I fold the Cream colour Pearl CS in accordion style so that the candy layer hidden inside and not showing. I used an oval die-cut nestabilities at the centre panel of the fold. Attached a banner cut from the DCWV Sweet stack on a turquoise ribbon at the top most and added a bow with a rhinestone. Cupcake is a double sided sticker which I added it on a white CS. At the bottom of the cupcake, I added turquoise glitter dust and at the top I added dark pink and light pink glitter dust and rub it gently . For crystal effects, I added glitter stickles on it. I cut out 2 more cupcakes for 3D effect. At the back of the cupcake and on another cupcakes too, I used pastel chalks from scrappin-clear(turquoise+ pink). Before gluing 2 cupcakes together with adhesive pop dots, I inserted a piece of turquoise gingham ribbon so that it will hang in the centre of the oval shape die cut. I embellished with some English roses from little birdie by Itsy Bitsy and added a pearl at the centre of a big rose. Add two crystal flower buttons on both the side of the oval shape. Applying border and corner golden stickers which enhances the look of any project.

From inside: at both of the panels I layered DCWV designer paper. I left some gap while pasting the DP at the top of the last panel. Then, I popped up the third cupcake at the centre using glitter at the top. And at the bottom, I added some swirls and applied glitter dust . Then I cut out two sentiments from the sweet stack and edged them too.

Now onto that cute candy:

I used a broom stick. On the top of the stick I attached a stocking circle filled with foam and sew it. then I cut a glittered candy from sweet stack and glued it on that circle. And attached purple pearls around it. I attached a loop at the backside of the candy and covered the whole stick using different colour threads.

I used a Spellbinder octagon die cut with a sentiment from My Little Darling Happy Birthday set using Versacolour Lagoon Blue ink and attached it on a light blue colour tag. After that I embossed the tag from left top and bottom side using Cuttlebug Flowers folder set. Then highlighted it with promarkers and using rhinestones jewels on it and tied with ribbon along with a candy stick. I left it standing up at the top flap of DP. It can be easily pulled out from the card or some more sweet things could be added in the flap (may be real candy)lol.

I really had fun making this sweet, yummy, delicious cupcake project card!!!

Simply Thank you

Hi!
Less is More-----This week challenge is Rainbow. And I am very much inspired by this theme. All the cards are so beautiful and design well by the design team! So here is my CAS card using this theme.........

For my card, I used a peacock stencil with a frame and stamped it on a white card stock and fussy cut it. I embossed the bottom panel of white ivory CS using Itsy Bitsy Spots folder. The challenge is rainbow colours, so I daubered with VIBGYOR colours for the background using Versa colours. I used a Octagon Spellbinder die cut and the sentiment is from W R Memory Keepers (autumn set) and I edged the octagon shape using dauber.

I added some sequins to the feathers of the peacock to finish it off............The peacock is so happy and saying "thank you" to the rainbow.
I am in hurry because only five hours left and I saw this challenge only seven hours before !!!

Birdies chirping in the garden

Hello Crafters!!!
Come and visit my little garden where the two love birds are chirping!

I began with a base of white CS onto which I layered a green CS and then a dotted yellow PP. I added a light green striped curtain to the window die cut. Then I added a free digi tag image on which the sentiment is hand written. The tag is coloured with promarkers . After that I stamped the birds on the pink dotted pattern paper and fussy cut them.Then, I added the diamond glitter dust on their wings & edges and put a red bead for an eye.
My embellishments are handmade rose flowers sparkling with diamond glitter dust and daisies, a green flowery lace, Pearls, gemstone. A ribbon bow was added to the upper left corner attached with a flower button and a pearl bell.

I HEART YOU

Hello everyone. I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

I was inspired by the theme "Make your own jewel for your card" from "It's all about vintage & beauty". So, I created something new using a "mirror". As Valentine's day is approaching, I made this I<3U card. The idea of using a mirror is that the person getting this card could see his reflection in it. I simply love myself for thinking this. It's a one of a kind valentine card for the sweetheart.

On my card you can see I used a mirror and my jewels are colourful beads on a thin wire attached with the pattern paper. I added a spellbinder shapeabilities floral doily die cut frame at the top of the mirror and put a scalloped border.
I made a I<3U cut out using Mariposa DCWV PP and the edges were glittered with pink glitter dust to give more texture. On one side of the heart I handwrote the sentiment with versamark pen which is embossed with WOW flutter pink powder and highlighted with sakura glitter pen. On the other side I used a very cute Dearie Doll Valentine Heart digi image and coloured it with promarkers and sakura gel pens. I chose white, pink and red colour CS for my card. The pink heart PP from DCWV and golden heart paper are from my stash. I thought they compliment each other very well.

A white lace, hot pink and burgundy satin ribbon, some dashing flowers. leaves, bow with a gem and some pink rhinestones are the embellies which enhances the beauty of the card. I used a intricutz die for the rose border from Couture Creations.

Do you want to peep inside, have a look....... The sentiment is free from Desert diva. A doily is used from spellbinder die.
