Christmas Birthday

Hello, Merry Christmas.

For sometime, I had wanted to try a chocolate-white-cream and a maroon colour combinations card. Here it is.....

Well, the image is another Stampandeous stamp coloured with Promarkers and sakura glitter
gel pens. The image has been placed on a Spellbinder Octagon Shapeabilities. I tried to give a "Brick Impression" using Martha Stewart Scoring Board.

I used a Spellbinder die-cut Window one, coloured with yellow promarker and embossed it with Versa Wow Copper Embossing powder and placed it on a dotted paper.

I make a bunch of flowers using Hero Art Flower & Butterfly Framelit Dies. And stamped some leaves with Versa Colors stamp. Then I embossed these flowers with Versa Wow white embossed powder and layered them on a cream texture cardstock.

Using the same Octagon frame, I stamped the Birthday sentiment using champagne Versa colour on a white card stock. Along with a transparent ribbon and lace, I arranged all the elements as you can see in the picture. In addition to that, I decorated the inside too...

Love is in the air

Hello,
I have made an easel card using Spellbinder Shapeabilities. I have use Stampandeous Stamp. Love this sweet image. I have coloured the image with my Promarkers and Sakura Gelly Roll Pens. I have used a pattern paper as background and the matting layers have been done on coordinating plain cardstock.

The image has been placed on a red heart doily using Spellbinder lace hearts. Handmade flowers which have been covered in diamond glitter dust to match with the colour scheme.

There I placed a ribbon and a sentiment on the bottom layer with a cute little heart.

Something Special

Hi!
Strawberry Shortcake all the way.......... I found this free digital image in line. I just loved making this card. I made it for my friend.

I coloured this image with promarkers and sakura glittered pens and layered it with circle spellbinder shapeabilities to give an image of rising sun and this new year will be filled with joy and sunshine.

I stitched a couple of sequences to the red lace and put my handmade pink roses onto the green panel. For the final touch I added a chipboard adhesive tag. I have also decorated on the inside. Do you wanna have a look?

Time to celebrate

Hello, Happy Tuesday

Today, I am sharing a "Happy New Year" card. And I pictured a Winter Scene in a card with Fireworks going off. I coloured this scene with Promarkers, Sakura Glittered Gel Pens. In the night sky, I coloured using Scrapping-Gear Quattro Blue Chalk and used diamond glitter dust.

I wanted to make a Stepper card which I thought perfect to match this scene and added some ornaments stamps (W R Memory Keepers), snowflakes on the side panel. Then, I ripped a white cardstock to create a Snowy ground and embossed it with Versa Wow silver glitter emboss powder. To give a 3-D effect I superimposed the two figures and added snow dust to the little boys cap.

The 'happy new year' sentiment was glittered to emphasise it. And I highlighted the edges using purple sakura glitter pen.

I think it looks pretty lively. Will love to what you think???

LIFE IS A KALEIDOSCOPE OF COLOURS

Hello galz!

I tried something different today. I embossed a blue cardstock using Itsy Bitsy Spring folder and highlighted the embossed butterfly with Versa stamp.

Then an idea occurred to me that why not give different colours to this card and then I coloured rest of the embossed pattern with Sakura Gelly Roll pens. I added a cool sentiment & using stamping pads coloured it orange and applied dark blue colour to the edges. I chose a cream colour cardstock as my base using EK Success Scallop Punch with Border along with orange and blue cardstocks. Then for final touch, added striped light blue ribbon and decorated it with flowers and added rhinestones to them.
I think, my card is a colourful canvas. What do you think???

Summer Bloom

Hello friends
I know, I know!!! That the winter season has begun. And "Christmas" excitement is at an all time high. But after making & seeing so many cards relating to Holiday Cheers, I thought to make a different card. So, here it is...Tada!!!

I thought to go with Yellow because of its warmth. This colour gives brightness and a cheery look to the card. I used an embossed yellow sheet and pattern paper. Combined with brown bordering and picket fence. Added elements like flowers, beads, gem stones and butterfly to it. Then added the sentiment to it and stamped it using dauber. Finally I put around a yellow twine and pretty lace.

Season's greetings

Today, I want to share a Christmas Card and to welcome New Year 2014!!! Here it is :

It is a beautiful card with snowflakes, brad snowman, a cute bow and a digital image free from Dearie Dolls. This is one of my favourite card that I have made. I love the colour scheme with silver glittery effect.

I decorated the inside part too :). Here is a view:

WITH LOVE

Hello again

In this card I have used a freebie from Sliekje Digi Stamps. Isn't it adorable?
I coloured it with promarkers ,dabbed the edges with pink and after putting it on a red background gave it a lovely look. Using heart punch on the pattern paper I made a lace and put ribbon through the circles I cut out via circle punch.

Christmas Cheer

Hi,

I am posting this card a little late, was busy the whole day. This is a card saying "Embrace Happiness" as Christmas is approaching.
I used pattern paper from my collection, scalloped border edge which is hand cut. The rose I made I learnt watching a tutorial and added glittered leaves to it.

Shooting through galaxy

Hello
I made this card for my friend's son. I chose a blue cardstock which is said to be boys colour. Although I used a pink star pattern paper, mat texture sheet and blue glittered sheet from my collection. To make it a fun card I put some glitter on stars, made a rocket shooting through the galaxy and a smiling moon.
As an added touch I put glittered corners. I am quite happy with the card. What do you think !!!

Today I am excited to share my new card with you.

This was so fun to colour up and design. I used the pattern paper and yellow ribbon from my collection.Though I have to admit it was tedious work to put white dots from a regular puncher on the red card stock, it was worth the effort. Don't you think so???

Happiness

Hello,

Good evening

For this card I used a pattern paper sheet which my friend gifted to me. Then I used a white cardstock with polka dot print and daubered it with brown Versamark ink pad at the edges. After that I made a frame and flower using Itsy Bitsy Thin cut die Fancy Assorted. On the flower I gave the impression of small stitches and put a shaded flat button in the centre. For the butterfly I used Marrianne LR0115 die cut and pasted it on a chocolate brown textured sheet. I highlighted the butterfly with the golden pen. Then I got a beautiful frilled lace with golden edge from my stash which gives an elegant impression to the card with the brown stripes. Love sentiment is used from 'we are memory keepers' stamp set. Then I wrote happiness on a tag and put some embellishments on the card for the final touch.

Hi

Welcome to my new blog. I am Vinita Jain and am a beginner at card making. I live in Delhi, India. Always with a creative perception , making cards using stamping, die cut caught my attention when I came across some fabulous websites and craft stores.

I am a housewife with two lovely children. Since childhood I was interested in painting, drawing, rangoli making, flower making and had joined many courses like oil painting, fabric painting, ceramic painting and flower making. My children and nephews - nieces much adore the cards I make them.

I worked as a nursery teacher for eighteen years which inspired me to come forth with new projects. To make models, charts and entering my students into competitions was a part of my daily life. I will not shy away in saying that they've won a great number of competitions like fancy dress, clay modelling, and i have successfully conducted various exhibitions at my school.

But now I have retired and have turned my attention to a new world of card making.
I have started collecting punches, stamps, die-cuts from local and online stores like crafter's corner and itsy bitsy , building a collection which is quite good for now.

So I thought to share my cards with all of you lovely people.
